VPinballDownloads is considered to be a complete scam site - the owner does content scraping of the other sites and uploads the content to their site (or rather, to Mega and Google to link to) with no consideration of the wishes of table authors, and sells preloaded built cabinets and drives in Australia. Yeah, the site appears to have been taken offline and now re-directs to their Discord. I suspect that he's still going to be doing what he does; just behind discord instead. A lot of people are currently trying to serve him with legal documents, but business addresses are fake etc, and blocks people when they try to recover their money so just providing additional information weather or how you use it or not, I'm just putting it hear. They posted a long paragraph about how bad this guy was, and said this was his new site, and then posted link. I am an Administrator at Pinball Nirvana, so I edited his post, and removed the link. I asked them to please not leave links to hard drives being sold with community content included in them. I told them there is no reason to add that link to prove a point. The paragraph was good enough. Well they flipped out, and said I was an idiot. I immediately banned them. I am going to guess that it was probably this idiot on another name. The community isn't just against your selling of pinball machines. 1. We are against you and ANYONE selling content that members of the digital/virtual pinball community. 2. We are against ANYONE selling machines and hardware that includes content created by the community. The community will continue, to go after anyone trying to rip off our community. This includes those businesses selling loaded cabinets, loaded hard drives or selling/posting download packs of community content. We report every ebay listing, etsy listing, etc. This has never been just about you. There are several legit businesses selling digital/virtual pinball machines that DO NOT contain any software nor are they providing links to downloads. Instead they have documentation for customers on how to setup and acquire their own tables. Can we please put all this to bed? I would be more than HAPPY to put this shit behind us and move along, but can YOU? You can start by picking one account to use and stop trying to create more and more. You are filling up my database with IP addresses to ban. If you continue, eventually I'll have every IP address in Australia in the database banned. I've moved along and try to run this community to the best of my ability. This site is ONLY a hobby and I enjoy being able to keep it operational for everyone else.
