  1. I have really been looking forward to this release since seeing the preview video last month. Theatre of Magic is one of my top 5 tables. It’s the first game pack I bought on my Xbox in Pinball FX3. It’s what hooked me on virtual pinball. I made some full DMD videos with both middle and lower DMD. They are available on my Mega

  2. Copying/paste my comment on Facebook. Just as a disclaimer, the work being done on this table is great, it plays much better than previous versions. However I happen to own a real Tron pinball machine, so I thought it would be good if I could provide feedbacks on how the virtual table feels compared to the real machine. - Gem shot is much easier than on previous virtual table. It's actually easier than on the real table, as for example I've been able to perform hit on multiple occasions with an upward ball, something which is super difficult on the real pinball (as the ball speed is too high to aim correctly). In my last game (where I directly attained Grand Champion score...), I actually completed the GEM award three times - For some reason, Quorra shot however is much harder. Seems like the shot angle window from the right bat is narrower. I was not able to complete Quorra award in my game above - scoop entrance still feels "odd", ie in the real machine, you really have a feeling of the ball falling, here it's more like it suddenly "disappears". I also had the case of the ball directly crossing the scoop from right to left without falling (which is not possible, when arriving toward the scoop following the green arcade arrow, it cannot cross over - it's also slowed down significantly) - Disc effects are still below the crazy effects on the real machine. On my Tron, I've seen multiple instance of the ball being ejected like a cannon ball from the disc, or sometimes being ejected downward, to then come back up because of the ball rotation. On a few occasions it actually exited the disc then came back up through the Quorra lane. I must say that this is one of the highlight of Tron, the ball behaviour from the disc is completely crazy, every time the ball acts strangely the player cannot help but giggle. Some of the points above might be a limitation of VPX physics engine though, so not sure they can be adressed under VPX. Hope my feedbacks will be useful Sidenote: I'm going to replace all plastics on my Tron, I'll perform a scan of them and upload them if they are useful. Unfortunately, my Tron playfield is not pristine (and it's not an LE - although I'm unsure if there's a real difference on the artwork between the Pro and the LE, the gameplay differences are neglictible) Regards

  3. OK, so if by any chance I remove all parts from the machine, I can indeed scan the playfield. But truth be told, it's such a MASSIVE endeavour that unless I'm going to retrofit everything on top of the playfield, unlikely to happen in the near future. What I can do however is as follows: I'm going to replace all of my plastics and ramps pretty soon, so I'll remove a lot of stuff. Not all of it, but pretty much all parts which are blocking the way. When done I can take a bunch of pictures perpendicular to the playfield I also have a 3D scanner (Revopoint), I'll try to scan the playfield with and without so you can get some dimensional data.

  4. Already know what is coming and the table and db2s has the HF quality we've been spoiled getting from one of the very best in the community. Don't see the table upload yet, but, been given a preview I know how it looks and plays. Normally, I'm not a huge fan of these "mods" of real machines. In 90% or more of the cases, they only consist of some changed pf images, sound and maybe some lighting if we're lucky. This one, is done in a very pleasant way. I knew from the filename provided on the beta what table was the base, but, I could not see it right away after loading. Actually, I think the layout is better than the real deal. I love also the fact that it plays fairly rough, meaning, frustrating me of drains that felt deserved; with the extra percentage of "fuck you machine" of unlucky drains. At least, the beta was like this. Thank you @hauntfreaks, and once again, so happy to see you back, kicking ass - literally

  5. Great stuff! Here's a quick script for 3 screen or real dmd users that want a dmd score display rather than backglass scoring (and then show a backglass image/video via the front end). You need flexdmd and freezy installed. Aliens 2.0.zip Extract the file and folder into your VP tables folder, name the 'Aliens 2.0.vbs' the same as your table file, then turn off 'use external dmd' in vpinmame for the rom. It should give you a flex dmd score display like this; ( @Delta23 - feel free to mess around with the script / flexdmd files however you want)

  6. Thank you!!! Good catch for the side walls of the Apron. Until the next table update, if someone else want to fix the side material of the apron, just open the editor, click on Options (1) and select Layer 10 (2), click on the apron wall (3) and on the options tab assign Metal from the Side Material list (4). Save the table. Done Save the table. DONE

  7. LOL.... I think the only thing WASTED is him, must be just learning to read, still just looking at the pretty pictures I also see he's another New leech..... Typical

  8. No it's the original upload. There's some drama going on in the other site and just the credits have been amended. If anything in the "details" tab gets changed then it comes on this site as "updated" even if the file remains the same.

  9. I think you need to ask Freezy, to update his DLL that will support these colored pallets EDIT: Seems that Freezy and DjRobX are too busy with VPE and no time for dmd extensions : Freezy not showing the 64 color palette from new Pin2DMD editor · Issue #276 · freezy/dmd-extensions · GitHub Just give the devs some time to get VPE sorted out and maybe they can add 64 colors later on Be aware that all the devs, table builders, dmd colorizations are just a hobby and that most in the community is not charging anything

  10. https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sverrewl/vpxtable_scripts/master/Quicksilver (Stern 1980) 1.0.vbs See if that fixes the droptarget problem described. All I did was to look at what got deleted going from vp9 to vpx and added it back. I had a mod of this on my end, but, it seems that you've made mine obsolete @Goldchicco

  13. Table looks great! Although here in Cleveland we're not allowed to have anything Indian related anymore. 🙄

  14. @freebird1963 sorry to have waisted your time.. While you're at it why not ask for a refund? You're obviously new around here but might want to check the crappy attitude at the door. Next time check the file path posted at the top of the download page, it will answer your questions before you waste any more time: "Home > Downloads > Backglass Downloads > B2S - For Players > B2S Backglasses > KISS (Bally 1979)"

  15. Love this movie and the table is an amazing tribute to it! Plays awesome and I really love the little electric arc you have going on to keep the ball from draining out the lane. Awesome work.

  17. Great job on this MOD @balutito! This screams out for a Pup Pack with muted rom. @hawkeyez88 😜 I added media in MEGA to include Attract BG, Full DMD, Wheel and Launch Audio

  18. I'm a total newb to the cabinet world, just got mine up and running a couple months ago. For the people having an issue with the B2S DMD not showing up, make sure your screenres.txt is configured properly and that you press F1 and disable using the external DMD, Freezy 1.9 in my case. I used the Baller Installer and it does just a base screenres.txt to get most things up and running, but you will/may need to hand edit it yourself. I used the guide on Nailbuster's page and got it all set up perfectly on my 4:1 DMD. The instructions should be the same for 16:9 full-dmd, just different numbers for the dimensions. https://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=b2s_dimension_location My screenres.txt if it helps , HD playfield, HD back-glass and cheap 1280x390 LCD 4:1 DMD. 1920 1080 1920 1080 1 1920 0 1265 362 1925 16 0 And the one I use for 'tablename'.res to correct the aspect ratio to my liking and add a background image on older EM's and really stretched back-glass images. 0 0 1920 1080 2 0 0 1265 362 1925 16 0 250 0 1420 1080 C:\vPinball\VisualPinball\Tables\B2S_Backgrounds\GraySmallMesh.jpg Hope some of this helps, and if I'm telling this to veterans that already knew this, ignore me heh.

  29. Simplest way to increase performance on this table: stop using the PUP pack and use regular backglass for the most authentic experience and best performance. You can always use the PUP pack with another version of TRON. Also make sure you use VSYNC in video preferences and run it in fullscreen mode.

  32. Love the classic tables! Thank you @Goldchicco! One question... How can I turn off the secondary Virtual DMD box if I can't F1 to get to an options menu since this table has no rom? TIA

  36. Thank you for your work, For remove sound and music of the Twister rom : Add these lines in the script below (.Hidden = 1) : .Games("twst_405").Settings.Value("sound") = 0 .Games("twst_405").Settings.Value("samples") = 0

  40. Hey this table is great. thanks heaps for the work. cant stop playing it right now.

  41. @teisen @JFR1 if you'd like to have your cab view match the VPW screenshot you'll need to first scale the side panels using the included "Cabinet Mode" option at the top of the script: Const CabinetMode = 1 '0 - Off, 1 - Hides rails & scales side panels Next you'll also need to adjust the following three POV settings in the editor: X Scale = 0.895 X Offset = 33 Z Offset = -500 Leave the remaining POV settings as they were originally preset by VPW. Save, play and enjoy!

  43. If you have the table in a folder one deeper than \Visual Pinball\Tables\ for example "\Visual Pinball\Tables\ Rock TKO", then you need to update line 286 to: musicPath = FileSystemObject.GetAbsolutePathName("..") The script assumes default folder layout so basically add another period to tell script to come up an additional directory.

  46. I have added an animated Full DMD to my MEGA for this table for those with a 3 screen setup. I use the b2s by @BurtMacklinwhich has the scoring on the backglass, but it can be used with freezyDMD also:
