  1. Bounty Hunter (Gottlieb 1985)

Bounty Hunter is a great throwback to an earlier solid state era. It features fun gameplay and a killer art package that remains unique in all of pinball.

This project was passed on to me by armyaviation, who worked with siggi to do his incredible work on the playfield. Other big players include leandre for the plastic scans and 32assassin for script help. Behind the scenes I received a lot of great help from kingdids, benji, flupper, and tomate as I tried to get Octane for Blender up and running. Also thanks to the usual team of beta testers for the feedback and friendship. As usual thanks to rothbauerw, fleep, nfozzy for the additional framework that adds a little something special to these projects.

  2. Cowboy Bebop Pinball w/ PUP (Original 2024)

    Howdy Bounty Hunters!

    Cowboy Bebop Pinball

This table is a mod/reskin of @masonou Bleach table, which was a mod of JP Salas' Mago De Oz table.

Some disclaimers up front... This is my first table. It's been an exercise in getting to learn VPX. So there are a few unfinished parts to this, and some things I want to learn for the future. That being said, the game plays well and is fun!

The main thing I spent time on is the artwork and Pup pack. It features some great clips and provides some intense action.

For the future/updates: I would like to jump into the script to fine tune the DMD (I will definitely tap into our wonderful community for help with that). I also want to add in a couple 3d models-- so I'm learning and trying that workflow right now. Anybody that needs help with artwork or video I'd love to assist!

I would love any feedback, but please remember this is my first attempt. Thanks very much for your interest in the table.

    Included in the zip file:

Table - only tested using VPINBALLX64.EXE
    Backglass - couple options
    DMD - a few options
    Pup-Pack

    Playfield video

  3. Dava's Everquest II - Pinball tribute (MOD) (Davadruix)

Welcome to the Everquest two pinball tribute. prepare to face the greatest gods of Norrath !

Here we are, after having made a MOD on the first Everquest, and as I am a big fan, I obviously played the 2 more than necessary,
I said to myself why not make a MOD on Everquest 2..

Well, there you have it, the table is here, after a few months of work around it!
I hope you will enjoy it because for my part I had a lot of fun making it!

I would like to thank JP SALAS, for allowing me to use his superb "Wrath of Olympus" table to create this mod and for guiding and helping me on various points.

I will also thank Sony for the countless hours spent on EQ and EQ2, a game that will leave a lasting impression as a true memory.
I think if there are former players in our great Pincab community, they understand what I mean.

I chose to integrate some music that is not from EQ2, just a few pieces to punctuate some events at the table.
Thus, the groups Imperial Age, Brothers of Metal, Apostolica are part of the soundtrack.

I added new callouts, 3d objects, and a lot of the graphics and lighting were changed. There you go, I hope you will like this table, thank you for your feedback!

You will find the rules and pov files in the archive.

  4. The A Team Original PinBall

    Hello everyone.

Here I leave you the new Original VPX table of team A.

The goal when I started this, my second table, was to know a little better how flexDMD works for my real DMD. I have tried to make as much of a 90' table as possible. It´s NOT based on a particular table, it has similar things to what I have played on many tables from that era.

I finally managed to get close to what I wanted, especially with the DMD, which is interactive and even has several video modes included. I am aware that there is still work to do and parts to debug so that they look as I really have in my head, but I don't want to postpone the release because the code for me would be finished. There may be some bugs in the code, but testing it enough times to find bugs was simple at the beginning and very complicated at the end. If you find any bugs, please let me know.

The actual file includes a Backglass, a PDF with the rules, the images folder and of course the table. YOU MUST HAVE THE LATEST UPDATE of FlexDMD and almost VPX 10.7.2 installed. The folder with the gifs must be in the same place as the VPX file.

    ATENTION!
The code has been written for the latest version of VPX 10.7.4. According to the experience of several users, the table is not completely stable in some versions of VPX 10.8, making the movement of the ball strange, even throwing some errors.

Thanks to JP Salas for the advice and part of the codes that I have used, and to everyone who has tested while it was a WIP and has encouraged along the way, especially Joe Hadesbeck.

Before anyone asks, I answer. There is no Pup Pack or light remapping in blender...Maybe with time. I don't know how to do it well, I'm not a programmer, my language is not English (I don't understand some tutorials) and I don't have a top PC either. Still not complete nFozzy physics and Fleep Sounds. I'll be debugging things.

I hope you like it, and sorry for my bad English. All the best!!!

  6. Star Action (Williams 1973) 1.1

Remember 1973? Pink Floyd’s, Dark Side of the Moon, Wings album, Band on the Run, William’s Star Action pinball machine…. No, not that last one? Here’s your chance to enjoy this table from over 50 years ago.

Star Action features a unique turntable (in playfield-center) that spins when you hit one of two posts (remind anyone of the lamp from Tales of the Arabian Nights?). Spin it to advance through the ten lights around its circumference to get Double, then Triple scoring. Wide flippers are a little more forgiving than the sometimes shorter variant you often see in older tables.

This version, 1.1, features beautiful plastics, playfield, apron — and when combined with a masterclass backglass by @hauntfreaks hopefully it makes for a top-notch EM (electro-mechanical) table worthy as an update to @loserman76’s VPX contribution.

Hold left flipper (shift) before game start for options menu. Options include:
5 ball or 3 ball play Reset high scores Change scoring values Enable/disable add a ball star mode
    Contributors include @Cliffy, @teisen, @hauntfreaks and @JCalhoun.

  7. Back to the Future: The Pinball (Data East 1990)

"Wait a Minute, Doc. Are You Telling Me You Built a Time Machine... Out of a DeLorean?"

This Visual Pinball title has quite a legacy and it looks like it started with a JPSalas table. (this community is indebted to him in so many ways)

It was massively improved around early 2018 in a new table version which resides at version 1.4 at vpForums by the following authors: Cyberpez, rothbauerw, wrd1972, HauntFreaks, ClarkKent, dark, RustyCardores and possibly others.

Enter July 2023 and versins77 added a minimal version of nFozzy physics, Fleep sound and a few other small visual / lighting changes.  However, the game play got even better with those simple tweaks and it plays very smooth and true.

The only missing component in all of this was a great VR experience and I was working personally with versins77 so that he could send updates to his latest files.

Alas, versins77 kind of disappeared from the VPin scene about 6 months ago leaving me with a fully functional VR hybrid Back to the Future.

I received permission from Cyberpez to upload a finalized version of the title to kind of complete the package as the game simply plays phenomenal as it is mostly due to Cyberpez's original vision.

So, I searched for the ultimate VR Room for Back to the Future and found only one 3D model that truly would fit.  DaRDog81 put it into action in Blender and it is right on theme down to the Clock Tower, Hill Valley, Delorean and all.

The VR Backglass was also animated by TastyWasps with the help of leojreimroc and hauntfreaks.  The desktop background was also improved with digital digits, an upscale and more contrast.

The one add-on that is truly a must for this title is the awesome altsound by Apophis with help from iDigStuff.  It truly brings this title up to 88 mph with 1.21 gigawatts!

Download the altsound here and turn your speakers up to 11:

  8. Special Force (Bally Midway 1986) VPW

    “Aaaahhraaaaa!!”

This was a real team effort that spanned over a year. Special Force is an underappreciated, grubby, rowdy, 80’s war movie pin. Kinda feels like you got dropped into a bad version of Rambo (but in a good way!) We hope you enjoy.

  9. Defender (Williams 1982) VPW

Landers, Mutants, and Bombs… Oh My!

The VPin Workshop presents the classic pinball from the late great Barry Oursler, based on the classic arcade game of the same name, DEFENDER. Once we tracked down the beautiful playfield and plastics scans of this rare machine, building the table from the ground up was inevitable (and fun). Defend those poor Humanoids from Landers and from becoming Mutants… Avoid the Baiters, destroy the Swarmers, and Warp yourself into victory!

    Version 1.3 Update Notes:
Enable the new FlexDMD by setting UseFlexDMD=True at the top of the script All other table options are in the Tweak menu (Press f12) Required: FlexDMD 1.9.1: https://github.com/vbousquet/flexdmd/releases/tag/1.9.1 Recommend: VPX 10.8.0 RC2 or later:  https://github.com/vpinball/vpinball/releases/tag/v10.8.0-1934-9bb99ca
This release would not have been possible without the legacy of those who came before us. Thank you!

  11. KISS Stern (2015) 1.3 VR

Thank you to @balutito for allowing me to convert his awesome mod to VR. Thank you to @allknowing2012 and all contributors for the amazing original work on this gem!

I found some good high resoltuion images for the pro model version of this table so I tried to keep everything to that version of cabinet as much as I could including side, backbox and dmd area graphics.
I hope you enjoy! Please note also the directb2s backglass is required for this as well. Link to the B2S is provided in the tab.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS VR ONLY. THE CABINET/DESKTOP VERSION CAN BE FOUND HERE

    Copied from Balutito's release.

To make your life easier, I'm making the music and the ultraDMD available, but everything comes from @allknowing2012 ,KISS to him
if you already have this table, no need to load the KISS install .zip which contains the music and the ultraDMD
use left button to change city, right button to change music

Playfield, apron, inserts, all graphics have been taken over.
The work is not perfect because the images were originally low resolution.
I used the technique indicated by @pin666 for the playfield and the apron thanks to him.

First, I  want to thank @Gedankekojote97& @cyberpez for their table, @retro27 for his graphic overhaul, @DaRdog81 for his VR assistance.

This is my first VR Room conversion of an existing table. I did the modeling for this in Blender using 2k res textures and lighting effects.

Has nFozzy Physics, Fleep Sounds, and a LUT selector (Hold LMagna and scroll through the LUTs with the RMagna).

On the back wall you'll find the actual autographs of the voice actors for the Turtles from the 1987 cartoon - Cam Clarke, Townsend Coleman, Barry Gordon and Rob Paulsen.

This version does NOT use a PuP pack but there is another version that does located here:

  14. Alien Star (Gottlieb 1984)

Gottlieb's 1984 Alien Star!  Journey to an Alien Star for a pinball battle in space!  Multiball, skill shots, and plenty of fast action!  So much fun to play!  Thanks to Borgdog for providing original playfield and plastic scans, cabinet stencils, and physical measurements of his actual table.  He also had lots of authentic Gottlieb primitives to use, and did a tremendous amount of testing!

Thanks also to Redbone who took those scans of the playfield and plastics and did a tremendous amount of work to get them to look so good!  He also spent a ton of time with all the other graphics on the table as well as a ton of testing!  Hauntfreaks provided the higher resolution VR backglass.  DarthVito did the VR wall environment.

I updated to latest VPW standards, physics, GI and shadow baking, Lampz and 3D inserts, dynamic shadows, updated backglass for desktop, playfield mesh for a saucer bevel, roth standup targets, standalone compatibility, sling corrections, optional DIP adjustments, updated flipper physics, VR and fully hybrid modes, Flupper style bumpers and lighting, gBOT system and trough. Dozens and dozens of hours were spent studying gameplay videos (2 streams were recorded by Borgdog) to match the table skill shots and action.

Thanks also to Rothbauerw for providing updated flipper physics code to help with the skillshots. That code was needed to be able to do some of the skillshots.

This table is loaded with options. Various balls, ball brightness, flippers, tents, caps, plastic edge colors, LUTs, Dip settings, siderails, and plenty of other VR stuff. Redbone encouraged me to include special edge LED lighting in the plastics that iaakki originally did for another table.  Looks really cool, and is included as an option.

The ROM can be found at pinballnirvana.com... alienstr.zip).  There's an option in the script to change the DIPS, however it will load a default set when you launch the table.  NOTE:  YOU HAVE TO START THE TABLE 1ST, EXIT, AND THEN RESTART FOR DIP CHANGES TO TAKE EFFECT.  This is ONLY the first time you launch the table.

There's also an option for "Tourney Mode".  In that mode it'll play a little harder with different DIP settings, which excludes extra ball... and only allows for points on 3 balls.  Tourney mode also sets colors and rainbow'ed LEDs on plastics.  NOTE:  you'll have to start and restart the first time in that mode for the DIP changes to take effect.

If you want to change the DIPs... you will need to go into the script options and change SetDIPSwitches to 1, then open the table, hit F6 (that'll load the default DIPS and display them). You can then select various ROM options.  Once entered, you can exit out, and restart.  That will then set the new ROM settings.

These are the default DIPS that are and set at original table launch:
        1=Coin Chute same
        0=3rd coin chute no effect
0=Game mode of replay for hitting threshold
        1=Number of balls =3
1=Playfield Special of extra ball  (However in tourney mode this is zero)
0=Novelty of normal game mode    (However in tourney mode this is zero)
        1=Match feature
        1=Background Sound

Thanks again to Borgdog and Redbone for the playfield and plastic images, the stencils, the testing, and all the feedback!  Also thanks to Hauntfreaks for the updated Backglass images, and to Rothbauerw for his flipper physics code.  Also thanks to pinstratsdan, and everyone else from the VPW team that provided testing and feedback!

I have add 2 new asteroid, my first try to create 3D objects for an table.
On the original pinball game they are 2 to cover the spots and I missed them.

Additionally I update some lights, physics, and add the ball reflection for the game, because it looks like fantasic on this table.

Now it looks like very nice on my 4k virtual pinball and I hope you enjoy it

  17. Apollo 13 (Sega 1995) w VR Room

I Added the VR conversions to Apollo 13 last year (2020), the version of the table that was modified was done by Balater (Thanks for the permission to mod!), originally done by Herweh, Fransisco666, and 32assassin.  Over time several authors worked on the early versions of that table including, Thalamus, JP, DJRobX, Rothbauerw, Amgrim, ClarKent, Chucky87, agentEight6, and Bigus1. I also used the dark image from chucky87's backglass file and imported into the table for use in VR.

That mod done in 2020 had several updates specifically for VR, and other light mods.  Sixtoe assisted at that time as well.  Also, Retro27 added a topper and a few other VR updates and  I animated the backglass for VR as well.

Since that time I added several more updates, including nFozzy and Roth physics and flippers, Fleep sounds, several physics updates to the table, slings, and bumpers.  A few other modifications were done as well to the sounds, playfield, and other adjustments.  Thanks to Bord for posting tutorial videos.  Also thanks to the VPW team for their help and examples.  I also added dynamic shadows done by Iakki, Apophis, and Wylte.

The latest update, Version 2.0, includes so many fixes and updates.  I've corrected the number of balls coming out of the rocket during multiball, as well as the rocket timing, and subway trough.  The ramp behind the moon now works for the orbiter and moon gravity missions, the trap door for the 8-ball lock is animated, fixed the slings, and added holes under the sling movements. Also the left spinner lane didn't send the ball into the upper saucer.  That is now corrected.  I've also added 16 switchable LUTs.

Then, several members from the VPW team jumped in and made this table so amazing.  What a great group!  Thank you all!

oqqsan: Added Flupper dome lights and flashers. Also fixed the ball stuttering when the moon rotated with the ball.
Tomate: created new ramps and textures (they look so real!)  Also wire ramps, posts, gates, apron, missing materials in some screws, and other stuff.
Skitso: redid the GI lighting, spot lights and inserts.  Also warmed the LUT a bit.
Sixtoe: Did some visual updates to the ball, moon, rocket, and plastic ramp
Apophis: Updated the playfield image for alpha cutouts for Lampz inserts.  Added Lampz code, and new inserts.  Updated some flipper nudge physics.  Corrected the triangularization dynamic shadow effects, removed the subway ball shadows, and lowered the number of dynamic sources.
Sheltemke: Provided an updated translite image for the backglass.  It's now included in the VR version, and Wildman created a new b2s file.  Also, modified the text on the inserts to a text flasher to make it more readable.
RIK, Fluffhead35, Lumi, and Wylte all tested and provided feedback.
Wylte:  Updated the ball shadow code to not turn on when in subways, and other optimizations.  Also modified for better performance.  Separated dynamic and ambient ball shadow options, and added lockbar key as plunger alternative.

This table is a hybrid release, so it will work on desktop, cabinet, and VR.

    OPTIONS:
Options can be selected in the script to change to desktop, cabinet, or VR mode.  For VR mode, there's an option for two different room environments, and to add a clock on the wall.

Also... VR users... the Dynamic Shadows performance issue has been corrected.  However, if you still experience performance issues, you can turn off dynamic shadows or ambient shadows or both in the script.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy!  And thanks again to Balater, retro27, Sixtoe, oqqsan, tomate, skitso, apophis, sheltemke, RIK, Fluffhead35, Lumi, and Wylte, and the entire team of authors that have contributed to this table over time.  If I missed anyone in the credits, let me know, and I'll add, as I don't mean to miss anyone.

This is a racing themed game, the ball moves pretty fast so be ready to get your reflexes in check.  There is a unique feature of balls racing around the outside track banging up the sides which is one of a kind and the vibe is totally NASCAR.

  22. Airport (Gottlieb 1969) 1.3.2

    Airport (Gottlieb 1969) v1.3.2

Once more Thank You Looserman76 (R.I.P.) for creating all these wonderfull EM tables.

This update follows after JCalhoun's vpx v1.2.

After Watching Joe's recent repair videos of this table, I noticed some fixes needed for the VP table by Looserman76 and the many updates allready done by others.

Table States where not right so I corrected those. Ball 1 thru 5 now correctly selects the various switches and varitarget state, after each ball in play.

For the playfield after some research and comparing Gottlieb photos, videos. The colors needed to be corrected for the top playfield, Gottliebs logo and the 2 outlanes.

They are now in my opinion closer to what it should be a colored salmon(like), as close as when it came out of the factory in 1969. Most virtual tables I have seen had it yellow or orange, red for gottlieb's logo etc.

    What's New in v1.3.2 - 2024-03-06
    New Lighting. Less Yellow.

    What's New in v1.3.1 - 2024-03-04
    Playfield Alpha Channel Fix.

    What's New in v1.3 - 2024-03-03
-Redone the Plastics Art at the top.
-Fixes on all 6 plastics and recolored them.
-Top playfield 50 Points Letters Salmon added.
-Playfield both diamonds purple color changed.
-Changed all the salmon color to a lighter tone.

    What's New in v1.2.3 - 2024-03-01
    - Top Playfield near the 6 Rollovers, salmon color needed to be added to the Zig Zag lines.
    - Airplane Line & Gottlieb Logo letters changed to same color has center diamond's purple.
    - Alpha channel was missing on the top roller #1.

    What's New in v1.2.2 - 2024-02-29
Table Script: Ball states corrections, vari-target correction
Playfield Color Corrections: Top playfield, Gottlieb's Logo, outlanes

  23. The Games (Gottlieb 1984)

Gottlieb's 1984 The Games!  Simple but hard to master. The goal: collect five medals in one ball and it consists of five shots.  Including captive balls, Vari-target, saucer, and a spinner.  The shots are really fulfilling despite the simple guidelines.  The captive ball, the spinner, and the vari target are examples of critical shots that pay off if you make them, but the ultimate payout an Olympic gold medal—comes from making them properly.

Thanks to Redbone who helped with the playfield and plastics from pictures off the web!  He also spent a ton of time with all the other graphics on the table as well as a ton of testing!  Hauntfreaks provided the higher resolution VR backglass (and an updated b2s).  DarthVito did the VR wall environment, and topper.  Silversurfer provided vector images from photos off the web for the VR cab.  Also, look for the alternate sound pack that Redbone and Darthvito have been working on.

I built the table from scratch and included the latest VPW standards, physics, GI and shadow baking, Lampz and 3D inserts, dynamic shadows, updated backglass for desktop, playfield mesh for a saucer bevel, roth standup targets, standalone compatibility,  optional DIP adjustments, updated flipper physics, VR and fully hybrid modes, Flupper style bumpers and lighting, gBOT system and trough. Dozens of hours were spent studying gameplay videos to match the table skill shots and action.  I also used Rothbauerw's updated flipper physics code to help with the skillshots.

NOTE:  YOU HAVE TO START THE TABLE 1ST, EXIT, AND THEN RESTART FOR DIP SETTINGS TO TAKE EFFECT.  This is ONLY the first time you launch the table.

This table is loaded with options. Various balls, ball brightness, flippers, tents, caps, plastic edge colors, LUTs, Dip settings, siderails, and plenty of other VR stuff. Redbone once again encouraged me to include special edge LED lighting in the plastics that iaakki originally did for another table.  Looks really cool, and is included as an option.

Redbone also created an alternate Gsound option.  Download it here:

The ROM can be found at pinballnirvana.com... thegames.zip).  There's an option in the script to change the DIPS, however it will load a default set when you launch the table.  NOTE:  AGAIN, YOU HAVE TO START THE TABLE 1ST, EXIT, AND THEN RESTART FOR DIP CHANGES TO TAKE EFFECT.  This is ONLY the first time you launch the table.

There's also an option for "Tourney Mode".  In that mode it'll play a little harder with different DIP settings, which excludes extra ball... and requires 3 medals to light special rather than 2.

Once again thanks to Redbone, Hauntfreaks, Apophis, Darthvito, Silversurfer and the VPW team for testing, and everyone else that provided feedback!

  24. Slick Chick (Gottlieb 1963) 1.2.1

Why is Slick Chick one of the Top 10 EM (electro-mechanical) games voted by players on IPDB (Internet Pinball Database)?

Is it the artwork featuring a barbershop quartet, showgirls wearing bunny ears and an apparently sauced Uncle Wiggily? Maybe.

Or maybe it is due to how challenging the game is. A gobble hole in the playfield center seems to be particularly nasty if you launch multiple balls onto the playfield. Watching fans who enjoy Slick Chick though, they talk about the two skill shots you need to dial in in order to roll over either the CHICK or the SLICK at the top of the playfield. Others say this is the ultimate nudge game and will reward your ability to finesse the ball.

From @Cliffy Slick Chick-res-files are for desktop users in HD, 2K, 4K and UW (ultrawide) configurations.

The .res files in the zip are intended for desktop users of this version of Slick Chick and are named as such. However, they can certainly be used for  any other table running in desktop mode and uses a directb2s (b2s) with or without a fulldmd as long as the filename matches the tables filename.

They are configured to place the backglass on the right and the fulldmd to the left and are sized for a single player EM. Again they are good as templates for other sizes and locations as well. The # comment lines in the file explain what each line does.

Unzip the .res file that best matches your single monitor (desktop mode) to the same folder as the table. The b2s file also needs to reside in the same folder.
Delete the first 3 characters of the filename, ie, if the file you need is HD-Slick Chick (Gottlieb 1963) 1.1.res then delete the HD- so it reads Slick Chick (Gottlieb 1963) 1.1.res.
Remember, the .res filename needs to match the vpx table name exactly. The b2s filename also must match exactly so rename as needed.

It is assumed you already have a 2.0 or newer version of B2S Server installed.
    https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/12024-b2s-backglass-server/

If you want to use a b2s with a table that has built in desktop scoring I've made a tutorial showing how to do this here https://vpuniverse.com/tutorials/article/32-desktop-backdrops-adding-or-changing-the-basics/

Thanks to @JCalhoun and @hauntfreaks for help and encouragement. Super thanks to @jarr3 for modernizing and adding such great features to the B2S Server.
I'm always open to suggestions that will improve location and sizing, especially since I do not have a 4k or ultrawide monitor to test.
    Enjoy!

The late @loserman76 created this table, and over 200 others. The VPX community continues to polish and tweak the games he left us. @hauntfreaks and @Cliffy helped with this iteration — fixing reflections, lighting, etc. I brought in Fleep sounds.
