Hello,friends:

Sorry if I seem to be such an ignorant but my question is about the fact of recreat a pinball for PC playing. Is it too much hard to do?

What is required to be someone like a Popotte,JPSalas,Randy Davis and many more that have been doing a great job for persons like me that I `ve been very fond of pinball from the first time when those machines arrived here in my country in the 60`s?

Thank you all and best regards from Chile.

It's time consuming to get it just right. You have to know:

The VP Program itself (which changes with updates).

Coding

Graphics (Not me) :P

Then you have to look on the internet for pictures and info.

The best advice for anyone is take apart an existing table (save a copy), and see how it's built.

Edit: I just put this up a bit ago.

easy? well depends on what you call simple

I started four years ago not knowing anything not even how to load up vp

I started to look at some tables thinking I can do that too

so I tore into a few (dozen) and started to fool around with the coding

and now got about 20 tables made

made a Gimp2 demo on how to make plastics, and playfields complete with lighting

taught Itchigo how to make pins with vp

bought Wavepad pro just to make pins with (sound editing program)

picked up Photoshop Pro from a friend

learned Gimp2 and how to make and change artwork with it

and even got a free commercial pin from a fellow pinhead to restore

(Flash by Williams)

but is vp tough to learn?

not really but it will take forever to master since there is always something new being added

 or learned with vp

and those new fangled things eventually find their way into some of my pins

tough? no...tricky? yes... but always fun!!
