CarnyPriest 1,745 Posted August 5, 2018 Latest SAMBuild for the version 3.2 cycle can be found in this post. The package includes the latest external DMD dlls if there has been a recent update. Or else find the external DMD dlls with the beta thread for the official VPinMAME build here: http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=27063&page=1 OR at lucky1's GitHub repository for Pin2DMD here: https://github.com/lucky01/PIN2DMD/tree/master/integration/pinmame OR freezy's dmddevice.dll which provides full color DMD support for virtual DMD as well as hardware DMD (i.e., LED panels): https://github.com/freezy/dmd-extensions/releases Copy the files into your VPM directory, and run setup.exe again. There, press the install button (with each new build) and remember to setup the defaults again! In case you have an external DMD connected that you want to use with VPM, please move the dlls from the respective subdirectory (Pin2DMD or PinDMD1 or PinDMD2 or PinDMD3) directly into your VPM directory! Commits to official source: https://sourceforge.net/p/pinmame/code/commit_browser Beta cycle is complete - pick up SamBuild32 here: 15

TerryRed 86 Posted August 5, 2018 Awesome stuff. You may want to change the line that mentions: In case you have an external DMD connected that you want to use with VPM, please move the dlls from the respective subdirectory (Pin2DMD or PinDMD1 or PinDMD2 or PinDMD3) directly into your VPM directory! ...as now with freezy 1.7 (and it's full colour support), many people, both real DMD and virtual DMD are now using freezy's dmdevice.dll. Some people who update may follow that line (after having freezy all setup).... and then come crying to me that their PuP stuff isn't working anymore. Could you possibly add in a mention of freezy in there as well, mentioning to freezy users to NOT use the DLL from those folders. Thanks for your efforts as always Carney. CarnyPriest 1,745 Posted August 5, 2018 I've added the link to freezy's dmdext package in the first post. 2
Pinballuser 21 Posted August 6, 2018 this might be OCD in my part but can we please get color rom entries for all the sam tables? Xmen and TWD have color rom entries but their is no patch for them yet BBH POTC Shrek WPT (French and English) all have color rom patches but we still have to use the default rom names for them. Thalamus 411 Posted August 6, 2018 @Pinballuser No-one is holding you back. Looking forward to see your work. It takes Carney some minutes to add slots - so, that is NOT a problem.
CarnyPriest 1,745 Posted August 6, 2018 Those tables mentioned do not support side channel loading (Pinball Browser extended memory) so there is no reason to have an extra slot. Just enable Ignore ROM CRC errors in VPM settings and the patched code should load just fine.
grunger106 9 Posted August 8, 2018 Anyone else notice chattering flippers on the newest BOP with this release?
Thalamus 411 Posted August 8, 2018 No ? I'm pretty sure I installed the latest because of NBA Fastbreak and after that played BOP. Not 100% sure, so, I'll re-check later on.
Thalamus 411 Posted August 8, 2018 Tested. No such issues. Managed to drain and the ball was lost. But, that sounds like table related.
Thalamus 411 Posted August 12, 2018 As I said. I didn't see it on BOP. But, Sharpshooter II over at vpinball has clattering left flipper. Hold it up and you notice it easily hitting bumpers and a few other switches. I don't think it is vpm related though. But, thought I should post it here since those smart guys often reads this thread.

slydog43 40 Posted September 21, 2018 Thanks again for another update. Just checking if I did anything wrong. Normally I copy over the files and rerun install. I then check the info and it tells me the date. This (r4635) says Sept 15th, is that normal?

toxie 115 Posted October 5, 2018 @lucky1 This must be a sideeffect due to your patch (rev 4624)?! All other revisions in that range are harmless.
toxie 115 Posted October 6, 2018 I just fixed a potential crash with that new code, but of course not sure if this is the one you're experiencing..
