SPAMP
Here is the artwork for my ACDC tribute table, completed 10/23. Bittersweet with the passing of co-founder Malcolm Young. I had planned to have the table together by now but there was a delay in shipping. Let me know what you think! ACDC min-cab art
SPAMP
I meant to add I do not take credit for the individual images. Simply put them together in a collage and arrangement.
SPAMP
My apologies. It was a .NET error not Direct X. It doesn't seem to like the Back glass after the the SAM and ROM updates. Assume this is an issue with SAM and not the ROM but I am just guessing. Looks like I have some more research to do. This hobby certainly takes some leg work ;-) .NET error after SAM & New ROMhttps://imgur.com/a/hNwIy Backglasshttps://imgur.com/a/BZxws BG after "quit" optionhttps://imgur.com/a/1CWlx

SPAMP
Thalamus, unfortunately this has brought me into one big circle.... 10.3 was already installed so I installed 10.4... then installed SAM... the .NET errors are gone but the Bell/ball stuck issue is back. Just to make sure I installed 10.4 correctly.... I copied all files (except scrips) into visual pinball folder and overwrote... then I copied all scripts to scripts folder and overwrote. issue remains.... =( What did I do wrong? Thalamus
Provide actual links to what you downloaded and I might be able to tell you. Did you run setup.exe again after installing your sam ? And to me it sounds like your selectively are copying files from these updates - why ?
SPAMP
Sorry for the delay in my response, I was up all night pinballing! I did not update the cabinet with the 10.4 yet I only did that on my test environment. I have been moving the .NET error over to the corner in the cab and paling away... ok back to reality and time to get this fixed! These are the steps I took from ninuzzu to get the table working with 10.3.1 1) Rom http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/3274-acd_168hzip/ 2) latest SAM beta:http://vpuniverse.com/forums/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=4321 “Extract it on the desktop and then copy the vpiname.dll into your VPM directory (C:visualpinball/vpinmame), overwrite the old dll and run setup.exe again. There, press the install button (with each new build) and remember to setup the defaults again!” I downloaded the 10.4 beta here from fuzzel's post: http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=38450&hl=%2B10.4+%2Bbeta Then I followed your directions. Not correctly obviously. Just to be clear the setup I am supposed to run at the end is the VPMAME setup? Regarding my extractions methods… it was late and I ate a lot of left over turkey.. I bear no responsibility for my food induced state! Lol From your post above I see now I should have extracted the 10.4 beta into the Visual Pinball folder. I’ll give this a retry and post back. Thanks for the advice!!
Thalamus
From your description this should work. Yes, I recommend overwriting all files in "visual pinball" with the 10..4. Especially since you have issues. After you've done this and if the table lights up ( like Ninuzzu showed you ), but, still get problems. Then change your backglass. SPAMP
Thanks. Also on another note the SAM update I put in my cab, while it fixed AC/DC it killed an older table OXO. I fell like I'm playing whack a mole! ;-)
Thalamus
You say older OXO - that being VP9 ? If so,, well, I don't play VP9 tables if there exists PM5 or VPX versions of the same table.
SPAMP
I found a version that runs in VPX so I grabbed it. It stopped working post SAM update. Let me look into it again because you made me check the laptop where I test things out and it worked. I will have to fire up the cabinet where it failed and see if it was an isolated incident. I'll get back to you.
SPAMP
Thalamus nope it works! My mistake. It was late and I must have seen an old error message/ warning that the table was saved with version 10.4 and it is newer than the 10.3 I was opening it with. Sorry about that. all good here!
