Content Provider lucky1 Posted December 27, 2016 Content Provider Share Posted December 27, 2016 I updated the files in the download section to support the latest pinmame 2.8 and dmddevice.dll. You also need pin2dmd firmware 2.36 This patch is for V-Pins only. For real pinball machines you need to have the pinballbrowser PBM file from the author to patch it for the serial number of your machine. You also need a serial connection from the controller to the SAM board. For V3 shields you need a cable from pinheader to SUB-D9 connector. For older shields you need a TTL converter from eBay and connect it to these pins. B6 - USART1 TX to Max232B7 - USART1 RX to Max232 Search for DB9 TTL on eBay For the macro files please contact the author https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/metallica-owners-thread/page/186#post-3573026https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/metallica-owners-thread/page/186#post-3573026

doogie2301
I too am curious about using this with Metallica LE. I see there is a mtl_170hc in VPinMame, but I tried to patch the LE rom without success. Does anyone have a working colorized LE rom?
Content Provider CarnyPriest Posted February 21, 2017 Content Provider Share Posted February 21, 2017 No patched rom for LE is available. There is an empty slot in VPM if someone produces a patch. There is a pal file, however.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I can figure out ground obviously but is VCC not required? thank you, -Tom
Content Provider lucky1 Posted September 7, 2017 Author Content Provider Share Posted September 7, 2017 This is only needed if you have a V1 or V2 shield. V3 already has the Max232 onboard. B6 and B7 are the pins on the Discovery board. VCC and GND you can connect to +5V supply voltage of your panels.
