Rewire hub 75 3 way cable for duel display and reuse and a new duel addon to shield pcb design by cable idea and uncle sash

New to order from uncle sash a new duel display addon based on my iec wire idea 

Should help with no bleeding and will be added to he curent shield with one hub75  femail input to 3 hub 75 output 

 

A new modification  of sasha old shield with out a 2 way cable and a easier method  below hopfully. Sash could design a.3.way iec male board  to support this idear

New duel shiled desing on stm bottom and one extra  hub75 out on top of stm gio pins

 

One idc cable 3 way one from shield to input panel set 1 and panel set 2. with chian on each

Use postives to panels only from usb,powered via pc  as the stm32 hub75 has 2 gnds not needed then tie the 2 gnd.fron panels

Together i found if i use earth to panels from pc i got interference i am also running pannels all off one usb and the power drain  seems.fine

And keep the stm32 discovery usb the same way as it is no modification requied as that provides the needed earth

From pc good solutiion for pinmame users  add + from shield jumper and gnd from stm 32 pin -

And 10 k resisters can help colour bleeding

My background and experience 

My role at Hoo Hing Ltd as a it engineer  included hardware/Software installation and set up as well as supporting users who use a range of Business Software Applications including MS Office and In Design, other duties  included cctv operator cat 5 cabling coax cable digital video recorders back up pst file to server for outlook web publishing repaired computers / laptop for family and friends while out of work learning linux and unix know for skills as ex3 fat32 and ntfs partitions and cloning hard drives via usb and game console plus mobile phone flashing firmware can network dns ip gateway pc to server pounch in patch panels on with lan45 cable into sockets programme io lans to thermail printers epson and dumb terminals on retail tills serial 252.  Btec city in guilds in electronics and computer foundation

Add a 1 ohm resister from stm and 1x between g1 and 2 output to fix bleeding  pin 12.and pin 16 from stm to rgb panels brown black red gold also clean 8 mosfet pins with cotten bud and nial varnish seem to cure problem as well alcohol based non conductive and leave to dry for 5 mins

This company will make new p2.5 1/16 scans with sm5166p digital. Pll  ic drivers and will also solve the bleeding issue we all need to order 2 pcs each over 50 then they would consider making them

Sellers that do the new tried and tested by me 

P3 p4 and p5 not tried p2.5 are they are 32/1 scans

And the stm32.display only support 16/1 scan

 

 

Hi got a new way of wiring duel panels p4 p5 p3 and future colour bleed fix 3 cabes on dasiy chain and 3 from stm32 discovery then rgb 1 right  and  1 left 2 months of hard work to figure this out new work around no earth required on power pack to first rgb 1 and 2 panel see last picture

I have found out thar if you dasiy chian both panels and leave out the postive the panel rgb 2 and still rgb 1 with idc it gives a dole output so making a cable with one idc from stm32 discovery and 2 outputs one to rgb1 and rgb2 will not need the chain all together hopefully fix bleeding if any knows what i am talking about please message me see bottom picture for example

Works 100% hope it helps next better filtering on stable signals prehapes a SN chip on cables before panels diodes as led are light edmited diodes could be added to stop back voltage on r.g.b signal from the panel to the stm32 discovery but im still in test mode atm . Sorry for loads of pictures was taking them on moble

Pinballsp also pointed out I will check it, but seem an impedance problem

i also check this with my electronic metre my self voltages was unstabe and impedenace was fluturating , so may do it also with resistors on each 6 rgb outputs in my case the two green ones. We been working together talking about technical issue with these panels see resisiters on gio pins bottom led diragramNJ and yes i have works my virtual balls off on this to get it wired right as pictured the bottom lol i only have 3 p4 panels to test

Try adding a heat sink to the stm32 mcu As it does.get.slighty warm

I did this to my raspberry pi 3 to keep the cpu cooling fan added 5 volt as heat cause electronic static hence interference also the cables that come with the rgb panels from china have rust on the copper leaking voltage on power cables so making new plugs and wires may fix the issues by cutting off the plug ends by piliers and solidering cables direct to the pins

blown 3 x stm32 discovery as i have shorted them no display only have 2 activated left

I also planning to spilt a hub 75 from stm32 discovery to 2 sperateted hub 75 on to each input of left and right rgb making the dasiy chian non existent as you see it works better on duel display on the p3 so it should work on single independent ones as well the chinses rgb panel makers on aliexpress said you dont need a dasiy chain only if you add loads of panel side by side and some contollers like to be wired  In this way as signals get dampened down as the.signal driver chips aka 4960 mosfets can lost earth conducting via the panel 

Good news a chinese seller on ali express will use my hub 75 design to make a 3 way cable one to rgb 1 and rgb 2 inputs 1 stm32 output  they are taking my curcuit diragram to make the cable for me via their technical department with my p3 order and shipped them in a few week time

Are you planning on selling the cables made up.   Does it work with the 2nd panel a metre away?

This may be.possibe with longer cables but need more testing i could never get it to work on sash duel plugs on he shield as they was shorting the signals giving snow like interference 

And it will only require 1 hub 75 output 3 idc plugs female only from china and maplins electronic may have them

Yes longer may be possible i will  get some more hub 75 cable and test this and post the outcome on here once i get my p5 and p4 panels and test with them

Yes as from today 30th of september 4 metre work 100% fine tested.it

And both my p3 and p5 work ok signal is stable

Here was my eariler findings and fault fixing notice the white led lite no 5 volts but voltage comming from the hub 75 output last panel output and use the new 2015 panels with sm5166p 2013 one had mosfets last pictures finguring out hub 75 split cable rgb1 rgb2
