The dump functionality needed for PIN2DMD editor is now integrated into the official source.
Just pick the latest vpinmame version and activate Use external DMD and Show DMD Window 
together. You need to create a  "dmddump" subdirectory in you vpinmame folder.

This is a special version of VPinMAME.DLL to create dumpfiles needed
for the pin2dmd editor. The dump is activated when you activate
both checkboxes "Use PinDMD" and "Show DMD Window" in the Game Settings
together.

makes no DUMP file, in VP 9.92 with Tramsformer.

Dumo works only when I start the Setup from VPinMame.

I'm trying to figure out how to do dumps from PinMAME.... Is this dll still required?  

Pinmame 2.6 looks like it states: - 'F6' can now be used to dump DMD frames to a text file

When I enter game and then hit F6 it brings up Dip Switches.

Use the actual version from lucky1
It's working out of the box. Just create a folder inside you pinmame directory /dmddump and enable onscreen and external dmd in pinmame.

Which version from Lucky?  The one at top of this thread?  BTW I want to dump some LE games, so I don't think this dll will work for them.

The "new" dump function is in the official branch and also in Carny´s builds

So I just installed Pinmame and trying to capture images for Getaway.  I replaced the DLL with the one listed here.  Under options I check Use 'PinDMD' and the 'Show DMD Window is checked.

 

I then restarted VP992 and I get an error saying 'PinDMD not found'  Once i clear that error (clicking OK) the game comes up..but I get no dump

 

I did create the folder listed above

 

Any ideas?

You don't need this special any more!

Use the normal actual version instead, create a folder named dmddump inside the vpinmame folder
and there create a folder matching the rom name. Dumping should start automatically as it is implemented inside vpinmame
