arejst
Hi. I have been enjoying Visual Pinball now almost a week and love it. But I'm having a small problem with some Stern tables. In Metallica and AC/DC table I'm not getting past the song menu. How do I start the game? I've tried the start, plunger and MagnaSaves, but nothing is happening (Other then adding players, MagnaSaves changes the picture on the playfield on AC/DC) What is the firebutton mapped to? I don't see a button like that under keys in Visual Pinball. Or is it me that have installed the Stern tables wrong? They seem to start fine with audio and all. Sorry if that was a stupid question. Content Provider allknowing2012 Posted August 19, 2016 Content Provider Share Posted August 19, 2016 You have credits in? Do you have a launch button? (or Enter) ? Did you install the sam.vbs file into your tables & or scripts directory?
arejst
Hi. Yes to all the above. sam.vbs in the scripts directory and I've tried enter/launch. Enter works on other Stern tables like Spiderman and Rolling Stones just fine. It's just on these two I can't get past the song selection screen. is it a special key I have to press? Or a combination of keys? Or should the ball just appear after I press enter?
Content Provider allknowing2012 Posted August 20, 2016 Content Provider Share Posted August 20, 2016 Ball should just appear .. if the game is in play your flippers should work.. Puzzling what it might be.
duderegular
I ran into a similar issue with acdc. I had the physmod table but double clicking the table didn't start the pm5 version of VP. Try opening the vpt from within the PM5 version or via your frontend if possible.
arejst
I also noticed that on another table, but that wsn't the problem here. I ended up downloading a older version of both tables that used a different rom. The older ones worked without problem. AJ
