I was contemplating buying a revenge from mars, till I started thinking about the issue that could go wrong. I have a seller, but wanted to get the nucore software just in case. Since they are no longer in business, I tried to find the cracked version on the torrent site, of course no one is seeding the file. does anyone know where I could find this or another alternative. seems like there hasn't been much talk on it in 3 years since it was cracked so...

thank you

nevermind someone was still hosting them on 4shared. forgot about that site.

someone had it under the name

nucore.tar  &

pinbox-dist-v5.iso

hope they work, really hope they aren't malware.

If it was me I would keep the original computer and do this:

1 - New AT power supply (make sure you get a 110v one as even if you set voltage to 230v the PC runs on 110v)

2 - Larger cooler and fan on CPU

3 - New thermal paste on CPU

4 - Double the ram (not essential).

5 - Run with the top off the PC case

6 - It is also worth slightly underclocking the original CPU....

7 - Replace the CR2032 battery

Yes it is amazing these PCs are still working after getting on for 20 years, but I would say - until your PC totally fails - dont bother upgrading.
Also I have seen used motherboards go for a few £/$s !   Check out the make and model number and check on ebay now and again!  Also check used computer shops.

NuCore always seemed to be a little overkill as the PC needed to run it was a lot higher than the original.

On the monitor front, you can get a convertor board now that allows you to run a TFT.

one thing I noticed when I got my RFM, is that all the animations stop when the ball is bouncing around on the pop bumpers. Is that something that gets fixed with an upgraded comp?

Cant guarantee in this case - but I would say it stands a chance!  Would get the fans and heatsinks sorted as heat is your enemy.
