Is There A Way To Store Palettes.dat To Display Using Usb?

Recommended Posts

I have my display built in my Getaway, the USB cable is easily accessible from the cabinet, but to access the SD I have to open the backbox every time. That gets old real quick :).

As I am getting ready to dive into the coloring, I think it would be very useful if there was a way to send the project files (mostly palettes.dat) to the display using USB (in a way it gets stored on the SD as well). I have not yet found it.

There is a upload function integrated in pin2dmd.exe and the firmware which is also used by Steves editor.

The last time I tested it it was not working correctly with the editor but Steve might have fixed it in the latest

release. If not you can use the /u command line option followed by source filename and destination filename.

Is this supposed to upload to the SD-Card?

Is the syntax something like this:

>pin2dmd /u file1.dat palettes.dat

>pin2dmd /u file2.fsq pin2dmd.fsq

I tried this, and it does not seem to overwrite the files on the card.
