Administrators Dazz Posted January 17, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 17, 2016 Where can I find future builds mr.Carny? Will they be able to download like before from http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/2480-vpinmame-sam-for-desktop-cab-pindmd1-pindmd2-pin2dmd/ cheers! Once we know his builds are tested and work well; I'll give him mod access so he can own that thread. I know when setting up new compiles sometimes things don't work quite well. Content Provider arngrim Posted January 17, 2016 Author Content Provider Share Posted January 17, 2016 i haven't been able to test them myself, a good test i think is taking walking dead, metallica, acdc, latest roms, you play for a long time and see that the audio is still synchronized with the action
Content Provider CarnyPriest Posted January 18, 2016 Content Provider Share Posted January 18, 2016 I have not had a chance to test on XP or with real DMD either. I'll try to get on those unless somebody beats me to it.
Content Provider lucky1 Posted January 18, 2016 Content Provider Share Posted January 18, 2016 Here is build from me including the definitions for pinball browser modified roms (acdc, metallica, startrek) and a routine which clears the settings of pin2dmd when exiting the table. I passed over the source for it to carny to make sure it i included in future releases. I used VS2012 to compile. This version also dumps DMD frames with timecode as needed for pin2dmd editor. Content Provider CarnyPriest Posted January 18, 2016 Content Provider Share Posted January 18, 2016 Sadly, I'm not able to install my build on XP using the updated setup.exe that came with official 2.7. Invalid access to memory location error. XP support modules were installed with VS2015, but it doesn't look like I'll be able to make this work. I will install VS2013 and try again. Content Provider arngrim Posted January 18, 2016 Author Content Provider Share Posted January 18, 2016 there was an update setup.exe with 2.7?? what are the changes? i still use the old usual setup.exe
Content Provider lucky1 Posted January 18, 2016 Content Provider Share Posted January 18, 2016 Actually I also failed to test the colored acdc rom with the old setup.exe. I would suggest going to VS2012 since this is what the maintainers of the official build use.

Content Provider arngrim Posted January 20, 2016 Author Content Provider Share Posted January 20, 2016 so we talked about a new setup.exe? is it required? what are the changes? where to find it?
Content Provider CarnyPriest Posted January 20, 2016 Content Provider Share Posted January 20, 2016 Here, http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=11571 Apparently it is not required if people have been successfully installing 2.6 and beyond with the older setup.exe. I'm not aware what has changed with it. I just noted that it had a more recent timestamp, so I started using it in my setup for subsequent updates. natetaco
Thanks angrim for all you have contributed. I know how a family and hobbies can be hard to juggle. I'm just glad you are not packing up your toys and leaving because you certainly know how to make a cab so much better. My family, my friends and I really appreciate what you have done for us. Thank you Dazz, Carnypriest definitely gets my vote! Not only is he a computer genius, but he doesn't mind taken the time to help people. You couldn't ask for a better person to take it over. Thank you Carny for stepping up. If any of you come to South Carolina....the drinks are on me! Nate. Works fine on my cab
