There must be some error in Pin2DMD installation - FW and Driver 11-29-2015.pdf

Under point 6 there is drivers from a dropbox mentioned... where is this dropbox or has this been replaced by the drivers folder on github? The names does not match anything there though...

Sorry.

That was my fault.

I upload the driver in 45 minutes to my dropbox again.

Update:

here is the Driver (original ST Website, use the Download button to get the ZIP file):

http://www.st.com/web/en/catalog/tools/PF260219

Also my DropBox link: (I delete it again, after I changed the Instructions)

I will update the PDF as soon as possible.

Instructions are up to date.

FW Instructions 12-08-2015 is the latest right now.

You will find it here (Post #1 or #2) and on GitHub from Pin2DMD

Some people are having trouble to execute the Pin2DMD Tool.

Here is a small hint, that could you help out.

Use the Pin2DMD in this Folder: "tools/VC++/binary" it is the latest version.

UNBLOCK all of the DLL files and the Pin2DMD excutable for Windows in the "VC++/binary" Folder

1. Right click on the file, and click on Properties.

2. Under the General tab, click/ on the Unblock button, and click/tap on OK. (see screenshot below)
NOTE: If you do not see an Unblock button, then the file has already been unblocked.

I'm ready to give my Pin2DMD a whirl, started following the instructions and I've got stuck on the firmware installation, not very much progress when the first few steps where just downloading everything!

I can't find the PIN2DMD.coproj file anywhere in the github source files so not sure how I'm meant to build it? Searched the forums and can't see anything related so the process is either changed or I'm being a numpty?

Can anyone point in in the direction of the file or new instructions.

Thanks

There was a problem in the gitignore file. You can try again, but I would recommend that you use the binary file

from the repository instead of building from source. The binary is tested better to be working. We are currently

reworking the routines needed by the Pin2DMD Editor for better performance.

To just upload the binary to the device you should use the ST Link Utility from here

So I have located the source code for version 2.86 provided by Lucky1 Here:https://github.com/lucky01/PIN2DMD/releases/tag/v2.68 ,  But unfortunately, I cannot find any information on how to make that into a BIN file to put on my Pin2dmd.  I currently have version 3.05 on it, which works with Luckys .dll, but not with the Freezy .dll.  Can anyone provide me with either a 2.67 or 2.68 BIN or .UPD file?  Thank you.

I just opened the zip file and found the .UPD file in side... so Nevermind... Thanks anyway
