Here's a laser cut one for a very good price:

I haven't tried it yet, but I have one in my hands.  My LCD panels just showed up today, so I'll probably go test fit them to the panel tomorrow.  I did verify the outer holes match up exactly with original gas-plasma DMD mounting holes.

Great idea

Except I am in Australia and my mate any I are down for at least 4 units

Wonder if there are plans so I can take somewhere to print/get cut

Thanks again

This whole idea is pretty new for that to have happened yet.  But it wouldn't be hard to draw something out once you have your displays in your hand and get something laser cut locally.  The piece I linked is simply flat acrylic that was laser cut, so it's completely 2D.

Here's what the 64x64 setup looks like direct from China:

I had to take the back plate off, cut it in half, reinstall the two LED boards on each half, then mount each half to the bracket.

Looks good. Now just need my controller from UncleSash!

How long before the next batch is ready? A month?

I still have over 20 PCBs rev 2.0.

When the current order is done, we start with the next batch.

(Tuesday is my goal to get the rest shipped out, over 50% is shipped out today)

I will announce it here when the next round start.

Is package B the DIY board that comes with all the parts? So all I'd have to do is solder it all together?

Packabe "B" includes the Shield PCB, and all parts to assemble it.

You have to buy your own STM32F407VGT6 Discovery Board!

Hello Folks,

the new STM32F407-Disc1 Controller Version (rev. MB997D) has arrived yesterday.

But for this one I have good news and not so good news!

The good things first:

FW runs on the new controller (NO change needed for the Hardware, except...)

The not so good information:

The new Controller has an integrated flash memory, that is accessable via the MINI USB port (like a FlashDrive).

And that cause the problem.

When the mini USB port is not connected to a PC and the memory is assigned to the PC as a FlashDrive,

the FW is stucking in the SD-initial routine.

But I think, that Lucky1 is able to fix this problem.

I will update you folks, when I know a little bit more.

ALL GREEN!

We are good to go with the "DISC1" Boards.

When someone ever buy one of them and have issues with it!

Just contact me.

I have the solutione (and the Download links) to Upgrade to the correct FW Version from the ST-Link Module from the Discovery Board.

Best regards from South Carolina!

- Sascha
