Yes I got everything from you July 6,2016 @ $119US. As you can see in the previous post I have already tried ST-Link 007. The note that came with the 2 units said that the newest firmware was on them that all I needed to was activate them. I though I already had activated them but upon looking at my PayPal account It doesn't appear so.

Also, I believe doing the donation at www.pin2dmd.com PayPal is in German. Although I am of German birth, I can;t read or speak it. Is there an English version?

All Sets that I shipped are tested with my DMD. And also preloaded with the latest FW that was available on the day before shipping.
I am not responsible for the pin2dmd page. Please contact Lucky1 for that.
My support was only for the OpenSource Version no longer for the licensed Version.

A new batch of V3.2 Shields are planned.
They will be in Stock in mid of February.
I try to lower the price for my Shields, but first I have to Order the naked PCBs and then I can quote them.

Thank to all my customers.... YOU made PIN2DMD great again!

Sascha

Hello everybody.

I decided to make a new batch of RGB DMD Shields aka Pin2DMD Shields.
After Louis is doing his own stuff, I like to support our community with some more non exoensive shields.
@pinballsp I must say I like his new DMD Version with his own Controller, deep respect from my side, it is a lot of work!!!

Today I was able to place my Order at the PCB manufacturerer, small delay because of the Chinese NEW Year!
@lucky1 I hope that you don't changed anything in your Hardware Layout for the Pin2DMD.

A small sneak peak from the new Layout; (I send NO more PCBs with the WiFi! It is to expensive and useless for me, but the Pins for a ESP-01 or ESP-12 are on the PCB)

Pin2DMD shield 3.2 no layers.jpg

changes:
STM mounting is like on the rev 1 and 2 Shields, a second choice for a smaller rtc Module (a very small one, that I use for my Pi) for the Go-DMD features.
Full SD or micro SD Card reader, a connector for a direct mount on the DMD Displays (but I don't have the long female headers!)

Thats all

@OzStick I haveyou in my mind, I was just extremly busy the last weeks! Sorry,

regards
Sascha

No change since my V3 shield layout on github.

Here is an example for the elevated pin headers

Edit:
That was for 2x7 pin, but we need 2x8 Pin.

Hello together!

brecause of missing communication and my fault, is there a problem with the signal enhance on my V3..1 Shields and also on the new orderd shields,

I missed the HIGH signal (5V DC) on the CLR pin (Pin3) from the 74LS123N chip.

The solutions is easy, solder a wire bridge from Pin16 to Pin3 or put a small wire in both sides stranded and put the 74LS123N back in place.

1st picture the solutions
rev 3.1 missing signal 5V board.jpg

2nd picture the schematic with the missing 5V line.
rev 3.1 missing signal 5V schematic.jpg

Now I hope that everybody understand what the problem is and how the circuit is connected

When someone like to get the whole schematic, feel free to contact me.

regards
Sascha.

Hi.  I am not really sure which one to order.  I am thinking it is Option 8 as I want a DMD that I can use for Visual Pinball cabinet. Is this the one that has everything I need?

thanks.

for the use in a V-Pin Cab is the Set # 1 perfect.

but when you like to use the GO-DMD features, is set 8 also a good choice.

When you decide for set 1, is it possible to solder the missing stuff onto the board, when ever you like to use it as a Go-DMD.

anyways, the actual batch is sold OUT since 2 Days. sorry.
But I can put you on position #2 on my PreOrder list for the next batch.

the next batch should be arrive in about 2 weeks.

cheers
Sascha

Hello Sascha,

I purchased a V2 board and I am having issues with it, it was working fine, and now the controller seems to hang and the leds seem really dim now as compared to before.  I am not sure if the controller or the shield is damaged or if it needs to be reflashed with updated software.

The led boards no longer show any animations just fuzzy color lines or just random color blocks, any idea what could of happened?

Over all, one complete set (the dmd ($60) and 5V power supply ($9) sold on aliexpress!) is arround 160 USD!

I sent you a msg on FB, but figured it cant hurt to post here (since I never do)

Just wondering if you had a kit for a Gottlieb SFII , I think if I redid the DMD in color and made new animations, the game would be a shit ton better.
