Content Provider UncleSash Posted February 20, 2016 Content Provider Share Posted February 20, 2016 Hello Folks, the new STM32F407-Disc1 Controller Version (rev. MB997D) has arrived yesterday. But for this one I have good news and not so good news! The good things first: FW runs on the new controller (NO change needed for the Hardware, except...) The not so good information: The new Controller has an integrated flash memory, that is accessable via the MINI USB port (like a FlashDrive). And that cause the problem. When the mini USB port is not connected to a PC and the memory is assigned to the PC as a FlashDrive, the FW is stucking in the SD-initial routine. But I think, that Lucky1 is able to fix this problem. I will update you folks, when I know a little bit more. - Sascha

Dann
i just found this project, it looks great and i cant wait to start changing my gameroom pinballs all to Pin2DMD. I have 9 bally / williams and stern machines and would like to make this as cheap as possible and build my own PCB's. I saw that there is a .BRD and .sch files for download in eagle format but when i try and load in eagle program i get "THIS IS NOT AN EAGLE FILE" Am i mistaken ? is this not an eagle file? I think it would be much fun to get the PCB's made and build myself. Can anyone advise what i am doing wrong please? Thanks and well done on a great project. ANDRESDC
Hi, I want to do something like Dann but with the RC Filter integrated, but I only saw BRD and SCH without RC Filter on the same board. Is a BRD / SCH file to download with it already ? Thanks.

Content Provider lucky1 Posted February 22, 2016 Author Content Provider Share Posted February 22, 2016 I just updated the github data because of the V2.0 release. Also uploaded a updated pcb layout which contains a RC filter. It is untested but should work.

Content Provider UncleSash Posted February 24, 2016 Content Provider Share Posted February 24, 2016 New Orders for rev 2.0 Shields are very welcome! I have also some rev 1.4 Shields in Stock... They are working great for VPin Cabs! And they are a little bit cheaper! Save some money for your VPin cab.... ask for a rev 1.4 discount! - Saascha

Content Provider UncleSash Posted February 24, 2016 Content Provider Share Posted February 24, 2016 But on Github, is perhaps PIN2DMD PCB design, and not filter board?? That is correct. The Filter is integrated in the rev 2 layout from the shield. The separate Filter PCB is designed by me. Only Rappelbox and myself has that layout. We sell the extra Filter PCB for the rev 1.x shields for a real small amount of money. - Sascha

Content Provider lucky1 Posted February 29, 2016 Author Content Provider Share Posted February 29, 2016 First of all, all features will be supported by all machine types except SmartDMD which only works with Stern SAM machines. We are working on a lot of different methods to increase the experience with your machine. Please understand that we won´t announce a feature until it is proved to be working. Currently proved to be working is to replace a picture with one which has more colors or different content played back from SD card.

Im waiting for my displays and shields to arrive so was getting to know the editor before they do.. "replace a picture with one that has more colours" sounds perfect for what i want to do in my gameroom. I have a lot of machines in my collection, from the bally/williams WPC machines up to the latest SPIKE system from stern. So if you need something tested im happy to do it.. Thanks for the info..
