Pin2Dmd Color - Pindmd Compatible Interface With Led Rgb Color Dmd

Recommended Posts

And you need it for real pinball machine and selected stern or WPC? Otherwise you don't need to save it because vpinmame is sending data dynamically.

After you saved config for Stern you have to connect to a Stern pinball.

Same for WPC.

USB is disabled after reset because you don´t need it in real pinball machines.

To change config again remove SD during boot of STM32 to activate USB

and reinsert before saving config.

Maybe it would be a good idea to integrate generation of this file in the editor as well.

Then you simply choose operating mode and click save

Check out the new version 1.0.8 of the editor tool, it includes a config dialog and writing pin2dmd.dat.

Cheers Steve

Thanks Steve, now the configuration is much simpler   :)

Yesterday I did the test, but my color settings (pin2dmd editor) do not work  :/

@fly: to help you in any way more information is needed:

What are you trying to achieve?

What files have you used / produced?

Can you attach files?

Thx Steve

Any news on the support of video support?

Would be awesome to have my themed clip in the PinballX select table mode :D

Allready do this in a way but with the DMD palette shades.

Thank you for your great work and merry-xmas guys!

I wanted to modify the xdmd code for video output but I haven´t managed to get it compiled even without modification so far.

Video in pinballX needs full color support in XDMD which needs to be done by Tom. He wanted to wait until pindmd3 comes

out to integrate both.

Just as a little side note. Anyone found the correct colorize colors to get the classic Amber (orange) color? When I try it's to yellow and when I tweak it, it will go green or red instead of Amber. So anyone got closer than me?

Questions about colorize settings go here

and yours is already answered there.

Where do you find the ribbon cable to connect from the LED module(s) to the controller?

Normally they're provided with the displays ;)

Or did I misunderstood your question?

Just got my displays today (sorry, no pics).

I used the seller suggested by UncleSash and although their response to enquiries was non existent I'm happy to say the correct type were received and ribbon cables and wiring harness for power were enclosed.

Can't wait for the rest of the hardware to arrive so I can have something to play with over Xmas.......
