Content Provider lucky1 Posted December 25, 2015 Author Content Provider Share Posted December 25, 2015 It is exactly how I did it in my cab. Here is a screenshot of the settings from pinballX and the batchfile simply calling pin2dmd.exe /c TableExit.zip
vampirolatino2
yea, just create a new txt and write Start /d "c:\folder path to your pin2dmd.exe" pin2dmd.exe /c then change the extension.txt to .bat for example in my case: start /d "c:\visual pinball\pin3dmd" pin2dmd.exe /c

Content Provider lucky1 Posted December 25, 2015 Author Content Provider Share Posted December 25, 2015 For virtual pinball look here http://vpuniverse.com/forums/topic/2270-pin2dmd-table-support/ For real pinball copy the rename the .dat file to palettes.dat and copy to SD Card. 17Al3x17
ok It's obligatory to custom Rom with the editor ( also for 1 color ? )
Content Provider lucky1 Posted December 25, 2015 Author Content Provider Share Posted December 25, 2015 You can also set one of the 7 default preloaded colors executing "pin2dmd.exe /p 1" ... "pin2dmd.exe /p 7" before you start the table.

Blashyrk
What's causing this ? is it a timing issue, bad connection or something else? Updated to the latest firmware, and using rappelbox's pcb.
Content Provider lucky1 Posted December 25, 2015 Author Content Provider Share Posted December 25, 2015 That seems to be a problem of the display itself and seems to be related to the layout of the pcb of the display. Has nothing to do with PIN2DMD. Eli from pinside has the same problem using a totally different controller software and hardware. See here https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/rgb-led-panels-for-dmd-replacement/page/4#post-2754912 It is not happening if you use other displays with different dot pitch like P3 etc. So far there is nothing what can be done against it. Rappelbox
Seems to be the same as from Angela... EDIT: try to get a replacement from the seller as only a very few displays seem to have this problem.

Content Provider UncleSash Posted December 25, 2015 Content Provider Share Posted December 25, 2015 Use a sheet of diffuser foil and a black acrylic sheet to reduce the glim effect. This is a problem from the low cost led layout. Use a sheet of backing paper as diffusor foil. And a black acrylic from the home improvement store. When you search long enough on youtube, you will find some videos from other projects with similar problems. Btw: use some super glue to glue the screw terminals back in position. I had the same problem with 75% of my screw
Content Provider UncleSash Posted December 25, 2015 Content Provider Share Posted December 25, 2015 Just as example: http://www.plasticareinc.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Store_code=P&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=I6911 Bronze2370
Content Provider UncleSash Posted December 25, 2015 Content Provider Share Posted December 25, 2015 And is must be also something to do with the FW. Because in some Version was the problem not there.
Blashyrk
But if i switch to a solid color it gets much better, still some random led lit but not as bad
Content Provider lucky1 Posted December 25, 2015 Author Content Provider Share Posted December 25, 2015 This is a problem from the low cost led layout. That´s what I think too. Crosstalk ! Unfortunately they all have the same layout no matter where you get them from. 1/32 panels don´t have that problem maybe that´s the reason why they changed the production. And is must be also something to do with the FW. Because in some Version was the problem not there. I don´t think so, since we have´t changed the output routine for a long time. vampirolatino2
check the essentials: good 5v and ground connections Watch out with the superglue, it could leak into the front of the panel. I used regular glue with one of my feet. Hope everything get sorted out!
Content Provider lucky1 Posted December 25, 2015 Author Content Provider Share Posted December 25, 2015 Superglue ? I soldered them again and that worked perfectly.
Content Provider UncleSash Posted December 25, 2015 Content Provider Share Posted December 25, 2015 Superglue works great for me.
vampirolatino2
This happens always or in some panels? Mine doesn't seems to have that... for now, because my luck and all the random shit happening doesn't surprise me.
