Content Provider Itchigo Posted March 1, 2015 Content Provider Share Posted March 1, 2015 Since I upgraded my .dll and Pinmame (2.6) I was getting this error. It seems Use DMD is checked for everything in my settings. I tried the registry fix, and going in through setup. Isn't there a way to do this at a global level, instead of each individual table? Edit: Nevermind... I found the "replace all".
herringaid
Hi, I'm getting this same error on my cabinet. I have a DMD so I want to continue using it. What is the registry fix? Thanks, Dave
Content Provider gtxjoe Posted March 30, 2015 Content Provider Share Posted March 30, 2015 Assuming you do not have real PINDMD hardware click on Windows button and type in regedit navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Freeware\Visual PinMame Right click on the "Visual Pinmame" and select export Export it to VP.reg Close the windows registry Make a copy of VP.reg so you have a backup, in case you mess something up Open the VP.reg with notepad Now search and replace all instance of "showpindmd"=dword:00000001 with "showpindmd"=dword:00000000 Save the reg file Now double click reg file and say Yes to import the file

herringaid
Thanks. I ended up backing up the reg file / branch and deleting all of the games except for defaults and global. Worked like a charm. Now they all pickup the default settings and re-seed themselves. I had originally searched for "pindmd not found" so I didn't see this show up until I searched for "dmd not found" since there was a space between "pin" and "dmd". Anyway, this issue had me puzzled for a couple of days. Silly of me to think default settings meant default settings! Appreciate the details. Thanks, Dave
