bhudkins
Currently I have Windows XP on my cab... considering moving to Windows 7. Wanted to get some input from you guys. Is it better to get a new drive and do a fresh install or just run the upgrade from xp to 7 on the existing drive? if it is beter to start with a new drive what considerations should be made as far as VP, FP and PinMAME. Copy the files straight away, will I also need to registery keys? Would like to make as smooth of a transition as possible. Let me know your thoughts Thanks
Content Provider freneticamnesic Posted May 2, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted May 2, 2014 Smoother to just reinstall. The important part is exporting your registry values, everything else should be a clean install. Once you have it all installed, then import the saved registry. For VP at least....couldn't tell you about fp
Content Provider gtxjoe Posted May 2, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted May 2, 2014 For registry, you want the Visual Pinbal, Vpinmame and Future Pinball entries VpinMame is located at: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Freeware\Visual PinMame VP and FP entries are in that HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software path also
