This is a patch to convert Megapin - GRONI's 1988 Wiliams Banzai Run to the hybrid view. A big thank you to GRONI for allowing permissions to convert his fine table to a different view after 3 months of his release.

The file contains the .dif file used to patch the original table. Get the original table from the link posted on this page lower right.

Use the VP Patcher System to create the modified HV version. The VP Patcher can be found here.

Just looking at this....does backglass play like real pinball!? Can this be added to fs table? If hv plays like i think great job! Very cool!!

Yeah its pretty fantastic, it makes me want to play this version on the pincab because of how great the backglass works!

This was a pretty wild trick to get working. Basically the backbox playfield is laying flat behind the backbox and hidden. I just recreate the ball movement with a second ball and convert the ball.Y to ball.Z on the second ball. The flippers on the backbox are primitives and they have no collision, so it all relies on the hidden playfield behind the backbox.

 

DB2S is awesome, but it has no script engine or physics, so I don't think this can be done with it at this point. This is using good old VP.
