Not much that is truly new here except for the wheel image. But a lot of this work is buried deep on the PinballX FTP. This is just bringing it together in one place. The card itself is available at Inkochnito's and did not require much work to vectorize and color in Illustrator, but this pack also includes the factory shotmap, the illustrated playfield diagram I traced to vector, improved the graphics on the aprons, etc. Coinage cards included (US currency). These required redrawing and replacing the original button graphics found on the PDF. I don't recall where the logo came from. Let's just call it Disney. I traced it to vector, colorized it to better represent print out on solar yellow stock and replaced the raster-based logo on the card with this one. Also exported to PNG for a wheel image. Flyers - raw image extracted directly from the factory PDFs using xpdfbin and converted to lossless PNG using ImageMagick. Special thanks to Inkochnito for hosting all of the factory PDFs. This work is free to use by the community without attribution. All sources are trademarks / copyrights of their respective owners. This is to be privately used in front-ends or for other non-commercial (or at least non-profit) pinball-related applications. I hold no responsibility for their misuse.

Includes reproduction of a factory instruction card. A coin card is also included (US currency only). Graphic elements processed with GIMP. Type and layout produced with Adobe InDesign. Some more graphics work, assembly, vectorization, and colorization to simulate print out on Solar Yellow stock all produced in Adobe Illustrator. Fonts - League Gothic, an open source version of Alternate Gothic #1, by Caroline Hadilaksono, Micah Rich, and Tyler Finck. This was used for the type on the table logo. The famous lips and tongue logo came from Wikipedia. I put the two together to create the wheel image. Eighth note vector clip art from all-free-download.com. Huge thanks to Dozer for allowing me to extract images from his fine VPX table. Special thanks to Mark Steinman and IPDB for the card reference image; As always thanks to Inkochnito for the coin card. Flyer by Stern Pinball and published at IPDB. Includes reproductions of Pro and Premium/Limited Edition factory cards in two varieties - the usual Solar Yellow stock and a full color (red). There are English language cards for Pro and Limited Edition and there are French language cards for Limited Edition only. Coin cards are also included (US currency only). Graphic elements processed with GIMP. Type and layout produced with Adobe InDesign. Some more graphics work, assembly, vectorization, and colorization in Adobe Illustrator. The basis for the AC/DC logo came from here: http://vectorlogo4u.com/acdc-vector-logo/ with plenty of modifications. Elements of the Stern Pinball logo were also incorporated from earlier work. Final logo used in the card is also the wheel image (it's huge/native resolution). I have some other wheel images available here: http://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/acdc-wheels/ Fonts - Squealer (typodermicfonts.com); Helvetica condensed and Helvetica Neue Condensed thanks to ephifonts.com. Hi-rez image of the Luci Premium flyer courtesy of Stern Pinball and published by IPDB. For Pro and Limited Edition flyers, raw image extracted directly from the factory PDFs using xpdfbin and converted to lossless PNG using ImageMagick. Special thanks to Kim Keist and Ed VanderVeen and IPDB; pinballnews.com; and as always Inkochnito for reference images. This work is free to use by the community without attribution. 4. File Name: Pirates of the Caribbean (Stern, 2006, 85vett, FS) 1.2 File Submitter: 85vett File Submitted: 13 Oct 2013 File Category: Recreations Permission to Mod: Contact Author First.VP Version: v9.16 Here is my first from scratch build all done myself (little script help from luvthatapex and JPSalas with the spinning disk animation). This is one of my favorite tables so I wanted to do a detailed recreation of the table. Some of the plastics are not factory recreations but the table itself is. I also added a couple extra (like the cannon blast). Their are two version of the table. The normal version requires a pretty strong PC to run it due to the image resolution. The low res version should work on most PC's. Their are A LOT of alpha flashers though so if you still can't run the table you may need to start commenting out some of the non-critical ones (I.E. the non back panel light bulb ones). You will need the SAM files for VP. These are available on this site in the download section. You will also need the ROM. It is on the stern website (Click here for ROM information) Their is a direct B2S backglass available already (thanks Wildman). and the media pack is here - http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/2459-pirates-of-the-caribbean-stern-2006-85vett-fs-101/ If you wish to mod the table an release it please let me know. That is not an option so I selected "no" for the permission to mod. I've got over 200 hours in this table so I hope you all enjoy. Only semi bug I am aware of is the ball hangs up at the one way diverter on the right ramp sometimes. I've played with it a lot and haven't been able to get it better. The ball can be moved with a light nudge so it shouldn't be a show stopper. Change log 1.2 (10/15/2013): Fixed left and right sling registry Adjusted B2S setting to get rid of line 1203 error Adjusted the 3 green lights above ramp to not be cut off at the top Fixed ball hang up problem at bottom of right ramp Fixed ball hang up problem at top or right ramp Fixed ball hang up problem at bottom pop bumper (when ejected from liars dice) Corrected Parlay switch (was part of the problem with the 1203 error) Adjusted flipper physics to allow for easier center shots (faster, less power, oblique) also increased end angle by 5 degrees Reduced tilt power and sensitivity. Should allow for nudges without the quick tilt now Couple other adjustments that I just can’t recall at this time Change log 1.3 (10/27/2013) Added ball drop sounds Fixed "jack the monkey" scoop Flipper physics adjusted again Adjusted output angle of "liars Dice" kick-out Adjusted fix for pop bumper ball stuck situation Change log 1.4 (12/24/2013) Placed a wall at the plank to prevent ball from getting stuck behind bumper. Fixed flasher over "Jake the Monkey" sign Combined Zip file for one download for both hi and low res tables Thanks to everyone for the tips and suggestions. Keep them coming. Includes reproductions of factory cards, two English language variations with slightly different layout. Some graphic elements processed with GIMP. Type and layout produced with Adobe InDesign. Some more graphics work, assembly, vectorization, and colorization to simulate print out on Solar Yellow stock in Adobe Illustrator. Logos from Wikimedia.org. Fonts - Spookhouse from House Industries (early prototype version at fontsgeek.com), Tungsten from Hoefler & Co. (thanks Mark Breneman), and Helvetica (thanks ephifonts). Stern card template and coinage cards from earlier work. Special thanks to Bob Smith at PAPA.org, Aurich at Ars Technica, and Adriaan Van Roeden at PinballNews.com for reference images. PAPA.org had an excellent image from which I could draw a working qrcode. Flyers - raw image extracted directly from the factory PDFs using xpdfbin and converted to lossless PNG using ImageMagick. Wheel images in turn extracted from the flyer images and cleaned and reassembled using the GIMP. These are exactly the same as published here: This work is free to use by the community without attribution. All sources are trademarks / copyrights of their respective owners. Nothing incredibly new. The Stern PDF is available at Inkochnito's and I uploaded a card on the PinballX FTP well over a year ago. This effort is a little bit improved. The original card had a raster image of the Batman movie logo that did not survive the import into Illustrator very well and I simply covered it with another logo. This card has that raster image completely cleared out and the Batman movie logo is now a vectorized version. Pack includes a factory coinage card (US currency) and a free play Batman card similar to what was on the "Costco" Standard Model. The logo came from the PinballX FTP so I don't know exactly who did the work. It is included as the wheel image using its original file name. 300dpi scans of flyers courtesy http://flyers.cdyn.com/ Special thanks to Tom Spiers who hosts the PinballX FTP, Inkochnito, and Mike Ostradick and IPDB for reference images. This is the same as the pack I published here - http://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/metallica_mp/ except this one has a better reproduction of the factory card. Type and layout produced with Adobe InDesign. Image extraction using GIMP. Assembly, vectorization, and colorization to simulate print out on Solar Yellow stock in Adobe Illustrator. Stern card template comes from earlier work. Metallica logo and star logo from seeklogo.com. Font is from House Industries. Thank you very much, Plants vs. Zombies Wiki. Special thanks to Jean-Pierre Renault and IPDB plus the defunct www.metallicapinball.com for reference images. The latter had an excellent JPG-based reproduction from which I extracted the qrcode and the black widow pick graphic. And as usual Inkochnito for hosting the factory shotmaps. Second LE shotmap from Pinsider Drewblood419. Flyers and shotmaps - raw image extracted directly from the PDFs using xpdfbin and converted to lossless PNG using ImageMagick. Shotmap images then dumped into an SWF container using Illustrator. Wheel images in turn extracted from the flyer images and cleaned. Some elements for the Pro wheel copied and pasted from the Premium and LE wheels and matched up. All done using the GIMP. This work is free to use by the community without attribution. 16. PBXRecorder 1.5 and SAM-Tables

Hello everybody, I´ve recently updated my PBXRecorder from version 1.3 to 1.5. And I´ve also upgraded my VPinMAME SAM build to Version 2.9 beta. Now I´m encountering that I cannot record SAM tables anymore. VPX starts, the table will be initialized, but it does not start attract mode and VPX closes just before the recording begins. I´ve switched back to my former versions (SAM build 2.8b and PBXR 1.3), but still the same behavior. All other tables will be recorded fine - so, PBXR settings seem to be ok. Maybe I have to unblock a specific file, which I haven´t unblocked yet? Does anybody have an idea or hint for me? Many thanks in advance! Kind regards, Jannek

  18. File Name: Metallica Pro FS PM5 File Submitter: 85vett File Submitted: 27 Dec 2015 File Category: Recreations Permission to Mod: Yes ROM Name: MTL 131 VP Version: Experimental - PhysicsMod Stern Metallica Pro recreation. Thanks for everyone's patience in the release of this table. I'm not sure what the most recent code is for Met Pro so you will most likely want to update that. Just download the most recent version and change it in the script. This is a Physmod 5 table of which I highly recommend playing it in this version due to the much improved flipper physics. A VP9.9 version was not created. I was going to build a specific table in that version but lost interest. If anyone wants to make a conversion to VP 9.9 approval is granted to release. Thanks to Dark for the Sparky head. I used a moddified version of JP's AFM ship movement script for the head so I should give credit to him for that. It's pretty cool using that script as nudging makes his head bobble, just like the real table. Thanks to Fren for letting me use some of his Met table redraw. I had most of it already but was able to fill in some gaps from his PF. Thanks to my testers - you know who you are. Some people have experienced some issues with balls getting stuck on the cross. I've made a couple of adjustments which seems to have removed that problem. Hopefully that issues doesn't pop up anymore. Gameplay wise is very fast as I adjusted settings to play like my real Met table. I keep it waxed and super fast thus why this table is fast. I encourage everyone to play with the settings to make the game play as they wish. Full rights to mod are given at this time. It's been a fun ride building tables so hopefully everyone enjoys this one. Hopefully I'll get the bug again some day to build tables again. Click here to download this file

  20. Hi, I've attached the new experimental 64bit build based on v2.25a for non-PinDMD, PinDMD2, and Pin2DMD. note that the 64bit and 32bit builds can both coexist in the same directory. but you need to run the setup64.exe and press install for the 64bit dll to work. You can find setup64.exe in Toxie's beta distribution here: http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=27063&page=1#entry256944 I stress again that this is purely experimental (I haven't tested it yet myself), but I hope that users give it a try to help iron out remaining issues. Just to keep feedback more centralized, please leave your non-SAM related feedback on the VPF thread. VPinMAME64.zip
  21. Hello everyone, I just built my cabinet and got everything setup, and want to thank you for this great resource for material and help. All of my tables are working great except for the Sam Stern ones. They play ok but the sounds are doubled up. Every sound plays twice, separated by about a half second. It's really annoying. POTC was the first SAM table I installed. It did this, but then mysteriously worked a few times before having the issue again. I added Tron and Avengers and now all three are doing the same thing. I tried disabling B2S on Tron but it did the same thing. Any ideas on what could cause this? Thanks!
  22. I am running a cabinet build and am using B2S server. I have Visual Pinball up and running. Bally, Williams, Gottlieb and EM games work fine. But I have several Stern SAM tables (24, Avatar, Family Guy, X-men, and more) that have intermittent launch issues. When in VP, the game might say I have ROM path error, but the ROM is in the correct place with the correct file name per the table script. Then I exit the game, and reopen the game and it might work fine. Then move the DMD to my 3rd monitor, exit game and restart, and DMD is white with static blur. Then close the game, relaunch and the game might be working fine again. Shut down for the night, open game through Hyperpin front end, and DMD back to static blur. Go back to do direct launch from VP Editor, and get ROM path error again. Go back to launch through Hyperpin and game works correctly. Why the inconsistency? What am I missing.
