This DOFLinx modded version of RetroFlair is intended to be used with a real pinball cabinet using real lighting and feedback hardware. Note: Any DMDs or HudOverlays (video clips, etc) intended for desktop use were moved off screen so that they wouldn't appear on the playfield screen in a cabinet. As a result, desktop users won't see them. 3. Now with DOFLinx becoming the new standard for Future Pinball cabinet support, I suppose it would be a good idea to help newcomers when it comes to modding a table to support DOFLinx. I decided, since I'm doing another DOFLinx mod of a Future Pinball table...why not record myself doing some of it and make a multi-part video tutorial from it. The table I'm modding is Jaws (Ultimate Edition). This is a complete video series, showing how to mod a Future Pinball table to give it full DOFLinx cabinet support for feedback, lighting, and cabinet toys. Part 1: Initial Setup https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSlzcTtjxbY Part 2: Flippers and Slingshots https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsctKDBIFoc Part 3: Bumpers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJZZ5S2D9WM Part 4: Kickers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94jKnJnCDNs Part 5: Drop Targets https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqbSONiOBr0&feature=youtu.be Part 6: First Cabinet Test - Solenoids https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufFURD03HwM Part 7: RGB Flashers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LpLHntzQFg&feature=youtu.be Part 8: First RGB Flashers test in a cabinet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cX5HAEwsQcw&feature=youtu.be Part 9: Animated RGB Flasher Effects https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDA_ZMey97s Part 10: Animated RGB Flasher Effects, Cabinet Demo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-_1iKCZOpE&feature=youtu.be Part 11: Button Lights (Start, Coin, Launch) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eU8oh5tXFu0&feature=youtu.be Part 12: TILT, RGB UnderCabinet Lighting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5C7jVkJNuM&feature=youtu.be Part 13: Shaker, Gear Motor, Blower Fan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThjaCmenD4M&feature=youtu.be Part 14: Strobes and Beacons https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ji_lPI6MREI&feature=youtu.be Part 15: Finishing Touches https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShCX5r5NUwk ... and ALL DONE! There you have it.... a complete video tutorial series that shows me modding the Future Pinball table "Jaws (Ultimate Edition 1.05)" for DOFLinx cabinet support. I hope that you find this helpful and I also hope others will realize that adding DOFlinx support to a Future Pinball is much easier than you think.

Note: Any DMDs or HudOverlays intended for desktop use were moved off screen so that they wouldn't appear on the playfield screen. 12. Hey all, I need some assistance. I have DOF R3 beta installed, Visual Pinball 9.9.2, PinballX, PacLED64, and Sainsmart 8 relay USB controller. When I test the relay in the globalconfigtester, it seems to work and my solenoids work. The PacLED shows up in my cabinet config. However, when I start a table via Visual Pinball, or PinballX, none of the toys work. Here is what I have done so far; 1 - Installed DOF, unblocked all files 2 - Generated a cabinet.xml after multiple attempts 3 - Used the DOF config tool 4 - Put the inifiles into the /config folder 5 - Linked the VP plugins to the DOF folder 6 - Linked the PinballX plugins folder to the DOF folder and copied the PinballX dll over to the PinballX plugins folder and turned the plugin on in the PinballX plugin manager. 7 - Loaded and started a table and checked the b2s manager, it shows the DOF plugin. 8 - Made sure all COM objects were registered 9 - Tested the LEDs Vis LED Blinky and PacLED64 and they work in those But yet, it still doesn't work when launching a pinball table. My config/log files are here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/44469647/Pinball/DirectOutput.log https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/44469647/pinball/config/cabinet.xml https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/44469647/pinball/config/directoutputconfig40.ini https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/44469647/pinball/config/directoutputconfig20.ini https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/44469647/pinball/config/GlobalConfiguration_b2SServer.xml https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/44469647/pinball/config/tablemappings.xml I have a feeling I'm missing something basic, but I'm not sure what it is. My Relays on the sainsmart: Left Flipper - Port2 Right Flipper - Port 4 Pop bumper 1 - Port 3 Pop Bumper 2 - Port 5 Pop Bumper 3 - Port 6 Replay Kicker - Port 1 My LEDs on the PacLED: LED 1 - Credit Button LED 2 - Extra Ball Button LED 3 - Start Button LED 4 - Launch Button Any suggestions? Is my Cabinet.xml not correct? Is it something else?
  13. Ok, new problem... I have DOF working great with my sainsmart 8 relay USB controller. It seems my PacLED64 isn't as cooperative. I put the PacLED into my cabinet.xml, it shows up in the DOF Configtool, but it seems my start, launch, extra ball and credit buttons will not work. How do I specify these in cabinet.xml? I have the directoutputconfig20.ini which is what the DOF config tool put out. I can get my pacled to show active when I put the following in my cabinet.xml: <PacLed64> <Name>PacLed64 1</Name> <Id>1</Id> </PacLed64> Then after my LEDWizEquivalent section, I put in lamp defs, which don't seem to work... <Lamp> <Name>Credit Button</Name> <OutputName>PacLed64 1.01</OutputName> </Lamp> <Lamp> <Name>Extra Ball Button</Name> <OutputName>PacLed64 1.02</OutputName> </Lamp> <Lamp> <Name>Start Button</Name> <OutputName>PacLed64 1.03</OutputName> </Lamp> <Lamp> <Name>Launch Button</Name> <OutputName>PacLed64 1.04</OutputName> </Lamp> Anyone out there have the PacLED64 and able to get it to work with the button lights?
  14. I'm on the fence about a cabinet build, I would really love to get an empty cabinet with graphics for cheap but they seem scarce, so I have started looking at plans for making my own. I made my mini-cab myself and it turned out well so I am sure I could do this myself, or at the very least have a cnc shop cut it for me. I like the look of Pinball 2000 cabs and think they'd make a great virtual cabinet, but I have a few reservations. First is the backbox screen size, using the standard plans provided by mameman, it gives you 22 1/4" width for a monitor. If you decase a 24" LCD, it should fit in there perfectly, but it leaves you with a bit of a gap top and/or bottom in the backbox. Not a huge deal I suppose, but for the overall look it may bug me. I hate bezels and gap. I saw pictures of Dazz's machine and it looks like he made the backbox extra-wide, and if I had to guess he's using a 32" LCD in the backbox. I think the gap on the side bugs me, am I just being weird? Another question I have is in regards to the reflective DMD screen, is it dumb to hide the area that won't be used by the DMD? I hate the screen on black reflection ....but then I also like some of the other things you can do with a p2k cab, such as the bowlers. Maybe my best bet is to have a removable wall that can block the extra screen space when I'm not using it? And finally, circling back to the first issue, it's a 22" wide cabinet which means I can fit a 40" decased LCD in there. I have a 42" westinghouse that is starting to have crappy audio that I was thinking about using, any ideas how wide this would be decased? What size LCD would that let me fit in the back box? Could I go 42" playfield and 27" backbox, both decased, and not have gap between the backbox hinge and playfield wall? Thanks for letting me get long-winded here. Any help and expertise is appreciated.
  15. Hello friends, I live in Brazil and over two years already built two pinball machines, and every day can improve something on them with the help of everyone here in the forum. I adopted a new Pinball project and now want to build one in PIN2000 model, the biggest problem is that I could not complete drawing so that I vetorize to cut into CNC. there is a .JPG file here in the forum to download, but it is in low resolution and missing some measures that are causing me trouble. I'm trying to rebuild the drawing in AutoCAD, but as lacking measures I am dissatisfied with my own results. I'd like your help, someone has a complete design to the actual or approximate measures of a Pin2000 cabinet and can send me? Please, I already have the items for the Construction Builder, will build with BAM and Kinect, LED playfield fullhd 40 "and backglass LED 26". I appreciate the help of all. if anyone can help me, post here or send email to douglas.baroni@outlook.com. Attached send the design I got here on the forum, I would like another version, complete or a version for CNC if someone can provide me. Thank you !! May the force be with you!
  16. Hello everyone! I want to share some pics of my current pin cab build in this forum. I had a lot of inspiration from different threads so i also want to share my work at the cab. For the play field i use a Samsung UE46f6170 and for the backglas a Toshiba 32" Tv. The wood work was really easy for me, i did some changes so the Tv fits perfect also for the back box but overall its basis is the wide body plan. Its not finished yet, the hole cable work is left but this should not be a big problem... . I allready want to thank cyclemat and his awesome arduino project (http://vpuniverse.com/forums/topic/927-lwclone-on-arduino-mega-2560/) Also Sven from the http://www.vpin-shop.de who helped me a lot and anwered all my ridiculous questions . Of course also all who shared there cabinet builds and gave me so much inspiration and motivation for my own cab. So lets start with some pics... First i started with a quick sketch to see if everything fits... In my spare time i also like to work with photoshop, so i created a artwork with my favorite pinball characters... The black frame should "hide" the side rails... As i sad, wood work was fun for me (i´m a joiner), against the most builds i decided to cut the edges in 90 degrees. I don't think its necessary to cut in a 45 degree angle. Unfortunately i had to make the coin door again, like you can see in the picture, because i replaced the usb connector to the right side under the gun (this fits better to the artwork). The Artwork is a high quality print, normally used for traffic signs... (no bleaching and also water resist)
  17. I have problems with DOF, install a SainSmart, detects sometimes and sometimes not, for example when it detects start a table entered b2s settings tab and plugin is activated in the file cabinet but nothing appears. I have a Clone Ledwiz I thought it was that the problem but the SainSmart does the same. This is the structure of my installation. C:\Visual Pinball\Tables\plugin\DirectOutput C:\Visual Pinball\Tables\plugin\DirectOutput\config The truth is that it can not be the problem.
  18. I was cleaning up and noticed I had some surplus parts left over from building my fullsize cabinet, so I decided to build a half scale cabinet with the parts. I started with Mameman's Willams Standard cabinet plan and scaled it down. The widened the cabinet to fit the 22" playfield monitor that I had. I also widened to backbox to accommodate the hinges. I bought some foam core and did a mock up to see how it all looked and how the monitors fit. Everything moc'd up well, so off to Lowes I went for some plywood. I picked up a sheet of 3/4" Maple(no birch, maple this year) plywood. Spent a Saturday afternoon creating the cabinet. Added a tilting tray for the playfield. First attempt: I used Williams' backbox hinges and cut them down.
  19. Hello, Have been lurking for a few months and learning much. Thought it time I say g'day and show my first cabinet build.... 40 inch SAMSUNG table, 28 inch backglass. Currently running 70+ tables (including 1/2 dozen arcade games) via PinballX. The cab itself is 18mm White Satin MDF (I used 18mm to allow for recesses to take the non de-cased screens), the glass is museum grade Starfire toughened with polished edges (thankfully I use that in my work and could get it cheap), the legs are Bally and the computer is my son's left-over quad core something or other with a GTX560 GPU and Samsung SSD. Tables are a mix of 9.x and Physmod5. While the arcades are running under MAMEuiFX. My second cabinet build is nearing completion (seen below after coming out of the paint booth today) and it's identical to this one (was built in tandem), with the exception of having more computing power (i7/650GPU) . This machine will go to it's new home at my sister in-law's house, to start it's fit-out over the weekend. I look forward to learning more from this community and wish to thank those who put the effort into making VP possible. Cheers Rusty
  20. Is there a CABINET version of vpinmame.dll for use with SAM tables? The vpinmame.dll that I have allows me to use the SAM tables that I've tried, but the DMD does not maintain it's position on my third screen. I've seen several threads and multiple discussions indicating some possible solutions to the issue; some suggesting to edit the registry, some suggesting to use the DMD Mover. I would like to avoid this if necessary, plus, I have to think that there's a vpinmame.dll file that is both CABINET and SAM friendly. Does this exist? And if so, can someone point me to it (direct link) along with the file name of the one I seek (in case there are multiple vpinmame.dll's on the linked page)? Thanks in advance.

  22. Before I start I want to first acknowledge the work Darkfall did as this is just a modification of his concept/script. *** This tutorial assumes you have already installed the latest (at least WIP10) FPLaunch. This mod allows you to set your LEDs for Hyperpin as well as have a default configuration for Future Pinball and ooptionally DWJukebox. It also has a mechanism for setting custom led configs for Future Pinball tables and Visual Pinball tables not included in ledcontrol.ini such as EM based tables. Download LEDWizMod zip attached and unzip into your HyperPin/FPLaunch directory. Edit the settings.ini file in hyperpin/settings folder Under [startup Program] set the path to the LEDSet.bat file i.e. Executable = C:\HyperPin\LEDSet.bat Under [Exit Program] set the path to the LEDOff.bat file i.e. Executable = C:\HyperPin\LEDOff.bat Under [FPLaunch] set ledwiz=true Edit the ledwiz.xml file Set up your ports to match your setup. (Note you can also add additional ports for flashers and other items.) Configure the default settings for HyperPin, FuturePinball, and optionally DWJukeBox. Configure tables for Futurpinball or VisualPinball. In the case of Visual Pinball you only will want to do this for Tables not supported by the LEDWiz Configuration tool. Optional: If you want to use this with DWJukebox overwrite the jukebox.bat file from WIP10 with the one in the attached jukebox.zip. jukebox.zip LEDWizMod.1.02.zip
