Got a strange issue... if I play say AC/DC luci... before I enabled the pin2dmd for the first time the table would play fine... once im using pin2dmd the backglass crashes vpx. i can move the backglass file on to the desktop and start a game and it plays fine and pin2dmd works fine... I can even move that backglass fine back into the tables menu and as long as I don't close the editor it will also play fine once launched... but if I close vpx completely then come back in to play the same table it crashes... need to remove the backglass file from tables ect ect ect again to get to to not crash.... this seems to happen with all Sam games... any tips??? thanks...

TRON Classic (Original 2018) Backglass ... the pinball that SHOULD have been made in 1982! These are the animated backglass files for TRON Classic (Original 2018). This project was my first VPX table and also my first collaboration with Xenonph. This was the seemingly perfect combo of my graphics capabilities and his amazing scripting, sound, and just pure dauntless energy to do something truly fantastic. I can not even express in words how great it was to work with someone for my first VPX table that had so much enthusiasm, skill, and concentration on all the details. It was not only a great learning experience doing things I've never done before (learning VPX and B2S Backglass Designer) , but also a tremendous amount of FUN, too! In order to accommodate just about everyone playing this extremely detailed "mod" of a great table, we decided it would be best to created backglass files that would suit everyone's setup. There are 2 version of the backglass, the original 4x3 version that was originally used for the Gottlieb Panthera table which this mod was based on, but also include a 16x9 version in the correct aspect ratio for "cabinet" players using 16x9 monitors. Xenonph thanks all the contributors involved in the actual "table" files, but I just also want to thank all those who contributed to the scripting, functions, and inspiration that make this TRON Classic a truly great table to play. I am not being biased, but this is by far my favorite table now.

  16. As Herweh published the source of B2SServer and we saw several updates to improve PinMame support, I thought fixing two bugs could be useful for all. 1) exe mode does not support alternative screenres files 2) exe mode fails on some computers for some tables in exclusive mode launched via Pinballx Forum discussion for 1): http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=23072&page=8 Bug fix was easy, the alternative screenres file is searched before the table name is set, that's why it fails always. Solution is to change the order, first detect table name, then check for "TableName.res" file. Forum discussion for 2): https://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/16462-update-visual-pinball-mini-dmdb2s-screen-for-apron-now-with-instruction-card-splash-viewer/?do=findComment&comment=161365 http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=34672&page=10#entry356239 https://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/18489-visual-pinball-x-backglass-not-showing-when-using-true-fullscreen-mode/ 2) is the most interesting one, it is really a pain, only workaround seems to have the Task Manager always opened. This worked for me for most tables, but not all. B2SBackglassServer looks for a process named "Visual Pinball - " and takes the following part as table name. This worked fine for years, but fails for new (large?) VPX tables, only if using exclusive mode and only if VPX is launched from PinballX. As in this case the table name is missing in the process name, B2SBackglassServer cannot detect it - and opens an error message saying "File 'C:\Games\Visual Pinball\Tables\.Direct2BS' not found. Please rename...". The table is name is empty, that's why it fails. It seems a real fix needs to be done in VisualPinball itself, but there is a possible workaround for the backglass. If the table name is empty, why not use the gamename (ROM name), which is always correctly set. The modification checks if the table name is empty, then use the gamename as replacement. Duplicate your directb2s file and rename it based on the gamename. If you don't know that, simply launch the table, if the problem happens on your computer with a table, you will get an error message showing the name, such as: "File 'C:\Games\Visual Pinball\Tables\kpv106.direct2BS' not found. Please rename..." This modifications target only the b2sbackglassserver.exe, other files do no need to be modified. Replace the file with the one enclosed: (build on b2s-backglass-code-14-trunk) Alternatively, download the source from: https://sourceforge.net/p/b2s-backglass/code/HEAD/tree/trunk/ Download/install MS Visual Studio 2015 Community Edition (free). 17. Noob question alert. I have just installed Future Pinball, BAM, and have it launching nicely from PinballX. in my cab. I am so happy--almost, Most tables I have downloaded have part of the backglass with part of the scoreboard showing up on the table in the upper left corner while the game is playing, To make this more annoying, when I hit the tilde key to go into the BAM menu, these annoying overlays disappear! Exit the BAM menu, and back they come. How do I disable this? Im not having much luck searching, because I don't know what to call this mini score-board, which is totally redundant with monitor 2 showing the same info on the backglass. I am pretty sure this display is an intended feature, but it sure doesn't serve a purpose with the information already on the backglass. Thanks!

  20. I've been capturing some backglass videos for hyperpin and thought I'd share them here, just rename the video to the same name as your backglass and save in the same folder. Unfortunately Hyperpin doesn't loop them like the table videos, but if you set the table scan time to 25 seconds it should be pretty seamless New archive with all bg vids http://db.tt/W6jX0yrJ
