Jaws Ultimate Pro – DOF, MX, SSF, PuP-Pack – Coming Soon!
dpannell2 replied to TerryRed's topic in Works in Progress
Awesome work Terry, as always. Your Tron Pinup table is my favorite. Can't wait to to see the final product on this one. -
I still have a few of these available. Send a PM if you are interested.

I would just splice a 2 conductor wire right into the connector on J16 as shown below. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1VPoabBfFbQz7MSRDZGvy6BYo63lo1Sn7 Once you have a color display, no owner of the game will ever want to go back to monochrome. However if you are concerned about modifying the game, the tap from pinball life seems like a good option as well.
-
Also, to answer your question about the 2nd 2-screw 12V connector, it doesn't matter which connector you use, they both serve the same purpose. Use whichever one works best.
-
Hey Kurt, Glad the display arrived OK. You just need to connect the 12V connector on the EVO display to the WPC board J116/117/118 connector as shown here... https://drive.google.com/open?id=1zn1CVck4GZ8mxgwoaN7Ho5_1rupR8Vyk Also, I just hooked up one to my Addams family. Take a look at this thread. The display in the pics is not an EVO , it's my regular display with a 12V power board but the connection from the WPC board is what you need.
-
I installed a display in my Addams Family and have it running with NetzZWerg's colorization(Thanks NetzZWerg) . I created a cable for tapping the 12V directly from the WPC driver board. The cable will work with the EVO display or the V4 shield display using the Buck converter step down power board(shown in the pics) . I will be making cables available for anyone who buys a display. Send me a PM if interested.

Pin2DMD Displays and some parts for sale
dpannell2 replied to dpannell2's topic in Pin2DMD General Discussion
PM's sent. Sorry everyone, my inbox filled up. -
Hey outhere, good to here from you. That would be cool but I'm not aware of any way to do that with the go dmd VET6 board. However I believe you could use the same frame and LCD panels to accomplish what you suggest using the pin2DMD shield/board set. I could make some that way if there is enough interest.
-
To give a perspective of size, here is a pic of the clock compared to the standard size pin2DMD display.
-
These are VET shields.
-
That's very cool! Where is this version? I don't see any newer firmware on bintray.

About 3 months ago, I made a goDMD wall clock. The clock has been running without issue since then, I really like it and decided to make a few more. As you are probably aware, the clock was designed/programmed by steve45. For more info, see https://go-dmd.de/. Below are some pics and video links of my clock. This is a very basic frame that probably only works for wall hanging. I have 3 of them that are close to completion. If you are interested in one, send me a PM. Just like pin2dmd, the clocks require activation with Steve at the listed website. Features: WiFi for clock configuration and time sync. IR remote for menu navigation/configuration. 8GB SD card for loading animations and activation key. 12ft. white power cord(brown also available). Here is a link to some short videos showing the operation of the clock and animations. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-BQrRJGZCSoQs3Bas7cUQUzCBOIHmsZP

PIN2DMD EVO128x32 Controller Board
dpannell2 replied to lucky1's topic in Pin2DMD General Discussion
From a capability standpoint, these are just like the displays built with the Nucleo and V4 shield. The EVO will not work with the larger Sega/Data East display in Maverick, Frankenstein, etc. That display requires larger panels and a larger frame. -
PIN2DMD EVO128x32 Controller Board
dpannell2 replied to lucky1's topic in Pin2DMD General Discussion
I bought some EVO boards, they look and work great! I'm very impressed that Lucky1 was able to create this board based on the Nucleo and V4 shield. It's a great solution and eliminates the need for a frame as well. Thanks Lucky1! Here is my first display. I have plenty of extras and can make more, send me a PM if you are interested in one. -
