  1. @cb3 - It looks good on oversized P5 panels as well.
  2. Those are the panels I used. I had it hooked up to street fighter with it's own shield direct mounted and a dedicated power supply and I didn't notice any flickering. On South Park I have it running off of the hub extension for the pin2dmd I have in the machine, so both displays are running at the same time and on the same power supply, and I did notice a bit of flickering when the screen was mostly black. I figured it had to do with the 3 foot 16 pin cable I was using and hadn't had time to look into it. South Park: Street Fighter, the odd split screen was due to the firmware on the shield at the time once I updated that it went away.:
  3. I'm glad someone is doing South Park. I installed my display this morning and it's looking great. Thanks for all the hard work.
  4. If you just want a kit with all the parts to solder the shield yourself I've got a blank shield pcb and parts left over from when I ordered everything. Just send me a pm.
  5. That should work. Here's a picture of the back of one of mine. The red is +5v and black is ground going to the shield and the led panels.
  6. It looks like the Nucleo board still needs the stock headers clipped and the outside ones soldered on.
  7. Great write up. If anyone is looking to build one for a physical machine and needs to populate the rest of the board here is the parts list I used for my build. Here's another option for the frame if you have access to a 3d printer: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3098697 Pin2DMD Parts.pdf
  8. Thanks for the test file. I should have time this weekend to try it. I'll let you know how it goes.
  9. I tried swapping the controllers and changing the enhancer settings but neither fixed the issue. My logic analyzer arrived today in the mail. Is there a write up on how to create the signal recording?
  10. Thanks. I'll try swapping controllers just to see if it changes anything and I ordered a logic analyzer.
  11. I only know of 1 version of roms for this machine. It's the smaller 3/4 size mario machine not the full sized one. https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=3427
  12. Thanks for your time and the info. I'll try swapping display controllers and try to find out if there are other display roms.
  13. The only files on the sd card are the key file and the pin2dmd.dat file with the config settings so it's running off of the pinball machine's roms. As far as I know there are no colorization files for this machine yet, I was hoping to do the dump and try coloring it. I was under the impression that this would act like a normal dmd even without those files. I did put the pal and fsq files from the other mario machine's project on the sd card once just to see if it would make a difference but I had the same issue.
  14. I tried the display in my machine again and it is having the same issue. I also tried a second display and power supply and swapping the ribbon cable with the one from my street fighter. Both displays work on street fighter and are having the same issue on mario. I looked through scottyc's info from his mario colorization and unfortunately he has the 3.1 shield from german gaming so it's not a direct comparison but i did notice that he had the 2.41 firmware installed. @lucky1 do you have an older version of the firmware for the nucleo-144/shield v4 that I could try? I currently have 2.58 installed.
