I want to announce that I started this one as side project. It will take some time, because the focus is back on IJ, just want to inform that I am working on it.

I have some personal reason for working on 2 colorizations at the same time at the moment. So even the IJ is not finished I want to share this progress too. Some images:

Other thread was , well a mess. I started this off of my original attempt from like 2 years ago and combined it with Mr.Tantrum and JustAnotherRat's work. To be honest they didnt have much but since I used some of their work, they deserve some credit. Their dumps were an immense help. Files hosted here!

Fish Tales 1.0 Release Big thanks like always to @Wob for producing dumps and videos with your incredible skills. Thanks for the great teamwork again! After around 100 hours of work I am ready to share my Fish Tales colorization. This colorization is optimized for the L5 rom. extract the rar file to your vpinmame\altcolor\ft_l5 folder. Make sure you have freezy´s 1.7.1 dmddevice.dll installed and working correctly on your system and activate the 4 color mode on your table by hitting F1. Do not use Freezy´s 1.7.2! Make sure you set the rom language to english, other languages will not work. Requests for real pins: please send pm. Please do not share or upload these files somewhere else, lead the people to my post instead. If you would like to send a drink, feel warmly invited to use the green Tip button at the bottom of this post. Cheers! Enjoy! FT_1.0.rar

It is with great pleasure I am able to make my Star Trek: The Next Generation PIN2DMD colourisation project available! Download link below. I hope everyone has as much fun playing this as I have had colouring it. I think I have also done a first in that I have provided two palette files so you can choose which colour you want the Borg ship - green for the TV show fans, or blue for the die hard pinball toy enthusiasts. I have said it before but I must say it again; the help and testing from @Wob has been so instrumental, it is the difference between me releasing this now in 2019 and some time during stardate 42947. I once accused NetZWerg of being a machine because he was so productive so quickly, but I think I realise now that he is not a machine, he just had a Wob! And because Wob is such a a gentleman, he has also graciously created a new preview video of the final 1.0 version. Seriously Wob, thank you. Make it so...

It seems like this project will be finished before IJ, first testing done and I don´t want to withhold the results. As you will see I still have to fix some minor issues and maybe do some color grading. Big thanks to @Wob again for the incredible gameplay, testing each and every scene I needed and for producing all dumps that include all needed animations. You rock!

Hi, A new member here, from Finland. 🙂 I've got my PIN2DMD Evo board from PCBWay, and installed it to my ID4 pinball. Here's my WIP status with the colorization: Attract mode mostly done Game animations about 50% done I'll be posting updates here, I also post the PIN2DMD files once I make a bit of progress.

I started working on this one back in the fall.... The way I want to approach this project will be SUPER intensive because of the manner in which this DMD triggers the animations....a TON of transitions and essentially 28 different teams to incorporate into the color schemes. I'm happy with where the project is at to this point as the keyframes seem to be triggering well. I believe I have a solid approach to this which makes me happy admittedly though this will be worked on the side while I am finishing up other projects....X-Men being first and foremost on the list. Here are some samples of how this project is being approached....I am proud of the fact I got "Official NBA color schemes from 1997 for all teams" amazing though how much the game has changed since '97....lol Cheers! I am curious from the community what the interest level is for this table? I like it alot as an NBA fan but I feel it's not overly popular? Feedback please?

I have started creating some new backglasses for some of the tables on my cabinet (3 monitor) that go far beyond twinkling lights. Most of these are created/animated from the original artists offerings whose talents and work I highly respect and hope they would like my animated interpretations of their still graphic work. Some will be completely new creations while most will be re-creations from the original artwork. Purists might not approve or like what I am doing, and that's ok, I feel ya. Just know what I do with their art is a huge message that what they created was awesome and I will try to do my enhancements to hold true to the original concept... just in motion. Please note that these are all work-in-progress with some far more along than others. These are all 1920x1080, no audio, and when finished, will be :30sec long and loop seamlessly. I will also create a new static image from the finished animations to use as a static backglass for those softwares that cannot use video assets "in-game" like Pinball FX3. For those setups, these animations are still very useable in the front end and work awesome as "attract mode visuals" while on the front end selector. Always welcome feedback either way and cool ideas/suggestions. Animated KISS backglass for PinballX cabinets Here's an example for a KISS backglass I'm tinkering with as well for when I can finally find and install a 2015 Stern KISS table for my cabinet. cough cough help cough cough... - This one is what really started my craze for animating my cabs backglasses. This piece I created from scratch from a single pic of the band and was used for marketing their 2019 show here in K.C. What's seen here now is a quick cut up to remove the other elements (dates, times, location) for the purpose of what it will look like. (the "explosion to the screen" will be gone for sure.) Timing of all the other elements will be altered. More pyros bursts... and always... more cowbell. BALLY - Attack From Mars animated pinball backglass Loads more to do here. - Both UFO's will be animated. The UFO that is animated now will change as the light pattern for both will look like the lights are rotating instead of flashing as they are now. - Aliens will have full limb articulation and motion. - Current explosions are place keepers for now. - More motion to come for the surrounding city/scene including a passing elevated train. UNIVERSAL - Jurassic World animated pinball backglass This is just a working concept at the moment. - When completed, this will look like the Dino is "walking" with the logo rattling with each step and the camera view floating with each step as well. - More lava and debris to come. - This scene actually might change to be used for Jurassic Park Pinball Mayhem while I create a version more true to the night scene view from the mouth as the original artwork depicted. - Maybe some circling Teradac... flying lizards. UNIVERSAL - Back to the Future animated pinball backglass BTTF is pretty much final. That could change in 2055 though. BALLY - Champion Pub animated pinball backglass *sneak peek* Here's a sneak peek of a work-in-progress for my Champion Pub animated backglass. - This is one of my favs! Both the game itself and the fun time animating everything. Lots goin on in there for sure Kid! - Final version... maybe Willliams - Medieval Madness animated pinball backglass -very early work-in-progress - Very early work-in-progress, maybe 20% complete. - All fire elements are just place holders at the moment. - All character movements are just testing purposes only... as is just about everything at this point! - Lots of work yet to be done on the castle and characters in the scene. - King, and Dragon will have full body/appendage articulation. (which is fun just playing around with the appendage controls!!) - Enjoy the sneak peek, this is a fun one!

    Version 2.0

Cactus Canyon Continued (Bally 1998) Since the original release of the table, Fast Flips support was added. Fast Flips can be enabled using the script at Thalamus's Github script repository. Link: https://github.com/sverrewl/vpxtable_scripts/blob/master/Cactus Canyon (Bally 1998) TTNZ v2.0.vbs For VPX 10.4 or 10.5, updating the script requires deleting out the old script and pasting in the updated script. For CCC, the P-ROC flag should be changed to a value of 1. For VPX 10.6, users can just copy the vbs file to the same folder as the table. The vbs file name should be identical to the table file name. Rename if necessary. When opening the table in VPX 10.6, the contents of the vbs file should automatically be loaded. For CCC, the P-ROC flag should be changed to a value of 1. For users that have already installed Python 2.7 version of P-ROC, there is no need to install it again. Nothing has changed with the P-ROC installer since V3.2 which was the version available at MBPC before they closed. They may just want to run Install CCC.bat (requires wget.exe from the installer "files" folder). For users that have updated the game code recently (since Aug 30, 2018), they do not need to run Install CCC.bat. It will not do any harm if they do want to run it. There are not any new code or assets at this time. But I will maintain Install CCC.bat if there are any updates. For new installs, the order is 1. STEP 1 - Install Prerequisites.bat 2. STEP 2 - Install PROC.bat 3. Install CCC.bat Sorry, I can't provide much support beyond this. The installer worked for me out-of-the-box on both my laptop and my cabinet. If users happen to have any chepas tables, the only other thing to do to complete the installation is to open a command prompt and type: pip install requests

Thank you for all the kind comments everyone, it is very encouraging! Already thinking about the next project... Gah! I though't I'd got away without anyone noticing! I spotted this not long after I uploaded it - I have already prepared the fix for this, along with a few other little optimisations, and will be uploading a small update in the very near future, probably sometime over the weekend - I will drop a note in here when it's out.

I had long discussions about this in the past with different authors and in the end we came to the agreement that all work done for virtual pinball should be free. That is why the vpin export in pin2dmd editor does not need a license and I helped to add the colorization code to freezy´s DLL. There will always be some individuals who try to make profit out of all the hard work a few put into this hobby but I truely believe that they will get what they deserve one day. The good thing is that the good guys are the majority. So you can say #WeAreMore is also valid here 🙂 Don´t loose the faith even when it is hard sometimes.

Its a good idea, unfortunately. You will never get rid of those users that are lazy and just asks questions even if the answer they are seeking is right in front of them. I can understand totally newbies having problems and needing some help though.

A few months ago, someone on this forum (you know who you are) asked me if I had done any more work on TNG after I started learning how to use the editor with this game. I replied "No, I would be afraid I couldn't the such an important franchise justice; but I could maybe do something quickly with the LCARS scenes, leave it with me for a couple of days"... It is now a few months later. EDIT: I removed the beta preview video link - the latest preview video of the final version is available later in this thread - thanks Wob! I really must give a special thanks to @Wob his help really has been invaluable so far, and the testing he provides really is game changing; I have made so much progress in the last week, it's unreal. I hope he will consider doing more testing work with me and others in future Also a special mention to @thebarto who has done his absolute very best to help with real pin testing but has been battling some real problems with his hardware - I hope you can get it resolved soon friend, and for sure you will be the first to get the final real pin files when they are ready.

I am excited to share that I just finished my first "exclusive" animation for X-men! I colored and incorporated a scene into the attract mode that I am very proud of. I did not create the artwork. It is an unused scene near as I can tell from the ROM, I just recreated it in the editor and keyframed it. It will only appear with this colorization. Still moving along with this 75% of the replacement scenes are finished. Once the replacement scenes are done, I will have just a handful of dynamic content to color in Pinball Browser.

Hi, I have uploaded 3 x DMD Dumps from Champion Pub if anyone is interested in tackling it for colourisation, Includes a successful Pub Champ. I am sure more dumps will be needed as their are 10 fighters but only up to 5 per game, but it will be a good starting point for anyone interested in the title. @lucky1 I currently only keep\store the .txt files generated by vpinmame, can you tell me if there is any advantage to working with the .raw files? http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/5526-champion-pub-midway-1998/

Cactus Canyon Extended Edition is not the same project. It’s from somebody who took the original project code, did some mods without permission, then started selling it. Not good. The project was meant to be non-commercial and used for fun, yes, but also as a learning tool. I requested and received permission from Epthegeek to maintain the changes necessary to port the code for use in VP and to make it available to the community. So, huge thanks to him. Also, thanks to Dozer, chepas and whoever else for doing the first port. I only picked it back up when it wasn’t being maintained or synced with development on the main project.

No, I was never asked either. I didn't even know that site existed. Unfortunately once we share our work it's out there for all and I'm not sure there is much we can do to stop it. My concern has always been other people or websites profiting off of the work we do. I've always preferred that my stuff stay on this site as this is where I began and really the only site I visit, I like the crew here! lol

Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996) Backglass + DMD Kit This is a brand new Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996) backglass made from a 2K scan of an original factory issued translite - (don't ask me how I managed to get it). The new backglass is 2200 pixels wide and has been color corrected to match exactly the same coloring as the back lit translite. I have also made the backglass compatible with 2 screen and 3 screen setups, drawing a new speaker grill and DMD area that can be turned OFF in the B2S Server settings if you don't need it. I desperately tried to make a straight 16x9 version for 3 screen users, but I gave up because the original artwork wouldn't allow me to do so with how it is laid out. I watched a YouTube video that had specific lights that illuminated the explosion, headlight, and helicopter that flashed at specific times during gameplay, but couldn't figure out which ROM IDs I needed to use. I recreated these FX with simple 'Illumination Animations' instead including an initial "Turn On" when first started up. I have also included a whole lot of extras for Pinball X and other front end users: - Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996) SPECIAL-Real-Color-DMD video MP4 - Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996) Soundtrack Audio MP3 - Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996) Wheel PNG - Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996) Backglass-Image PNG - Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996) Backglass+Grill PNG - Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996) Flyer - 1 JPG - Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996) Flyer - 2 JPG - Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996) Instruction Card PNG - Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996) Rules Sheet PDF If you are using a REAL DMD or 3rd screen for DMD, load the Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996) SPECIAL-Real-Color-DMD.mp4 as a "Real Color DMD". Load the Barb Wire (Gottlieb 1996) Soundtrack Audio MP3 as "Table Audio". When you scroll through your tables in PinballX when you get to the Barb Wire table, you will get a sexy show with a matching soundtrack - Warning: MP4 contain very brief partial nudity. Please DO NOT use portions of the kit or backglass to make a NEW backglass or kit unless you ask permission. I went to considerable trouble and effort to assembled / gather / create all these materials and original images. I am sharing them here as original works and should remain this way unless you ask permission to modify. -Enjoy!

Thanks WOB ! I have introduced the raw file format because on WPC and Gottlieb machines sometimes triggering on the second hash was not working. The second hash is only correctly calculated if a frame only consists of two different frames, but sometimes it consists of three different frames. This is mainly happening in transitions. So for WPC you can work with raw files only and for Gottlieb it is better to have them both.
  47. 3 points
I checked out that layout... It is simply a post on their forum that contains images and links. They do not use a CMS system that manages links, version control, etc. I'll see if we can utilize something else here on the site that may give a better view.

It feels like I have to reconsider in the long run if or how I will proceed with sharing my works in the future, because this kind of behaviour feels like people don´t care about my wishes (and they are not such unreasonable I think) and I pointed that out on each of my posts. I also had some discussion about having a donation button, because some people seem to be upset even about that, no matter if I provide the files for free at the end. So maybe this is not my world and I begin to understand why other content providers that stopped their work or at least the sharing of it...
