  12. My vPin project...

A friend of mine told me "I would really like to build a vPin cab", after seeing images of 2x Arcade cabs I had built as hobby projects. At that point I had never even heard of vPin, let alone the software bits and bobs... but after some searching, the propeller-head in me found a donor semi-built and deserted project as a 2nd hand buy online, which I bought and picked up. Luckily it had a lot of components bundled with the kit already (Pin2DMD, topper display, contactor relays, LEDwiz) but it wasn't put together well and I needed to swap some stuff out (I found out later). On top of that, the get all of the software tuned and ready to go, I had to spend 'some time' reading tutorials and all.....
Altogether it was a really fun project, and in fact, you're never done with it as updates continue to come along, and even ideas to improve the cab.
I am happy with the result so far though...

  22. Gwen's Nikola Tesla cabinet

Inspired by my admiration for the great mind of Nikola Tesla I decided to build this cabinet.  I started work on it in July 2018.  I am using a 42.5" Phillips 4K monitor playfield, a 28" LG 1080p backglass, a PIN2DMD, ,  Zebsboards plunger V3, pacled64, ipac mini, and currently for table feedback I am using a pair of speakers and a pair of exciters mounted on the cabinet walls.  I will likely eventually install solenoids etc.
I used several original antique furniture parts combined with a cabinet and backbox I scratch built.  I also did brass inlay work on the oak lockdown bar.
